I'm new to dSLR's and I'm still learning how to use my Canon T1i. Detailed and shot both my parent's BMW X5 (2 weeks ago) and 325xi (1 week ago) and am finally posting pictures here. Just a quick wash, clay and wax for both cars; still haven't stepped up and done paint correction yet. No pictures of our E70 X5 as that isn't clean enough for this forum.

Nice backdrops! The area you live in looks beautiful, cars don't look to bad either ;)

always fun to start out with a dslr, although try to avoid harsh angles xD

Very nice, my favorite is definately the second picture just for how the angle works.

Not bad but yeah, I would definitely try not to take many awkward angle shots but that's just me.

Well, I'm back with some more pictures. Some are okay, some turned out horrible. We took delivery of a new X6 to get rid of our diesel X5 and was brought into the garage part of the dealership. Went a bit picture happy and took 50+ pictures during the delivery process. The other pictures were from the most recent wax of our X6, which was on Memorial Day.

Awesome pics, congrats on the new car, but X6 = garbage. It looks like a crab.

I like the X6 Hauls arse with the twin turbo v8.

What motor is in the one you just got?

The headroom in the back seat is a joke, and only seats four people. I'd rather get the X5.

We only have the new single turbo I6 like the one on the 2011 335i. All twin turbo I6's became single turbo for 2011 except for the upcoming 335is. Still has plenty of power and a new tune would get us even more, but it is my mom's car so we won't be needing it.

We had the choice of another X5 or anything with a similar price range. We chose the X6 to be different and getting another X5 would mean having 3 already. It isn't very practical, but we still have our old X5 for utility. It is a mixed bag for me; I like how ours look but some just don't look right at all, especially some modified ones.

I can understand that. The new X5 looks so pimp though.

Are you referring to what BMW calls TwinPower Turbo? Is that just another word for twin-scroll turbo???

Yea, I am refering to the TwinPower Turbo which sounds very similar to just a Twin Turbo. I also do believe it is a single twin-scroll turbo, but can't remember off the top of my head.

nice one man. I have always thought the X6's were sick cars. As for the photo's i almost baught the Canon T1i the other day but when using it it didn't feel right, so i went back to the trusty Nikons. Had a D60 and sold that and grabbed a D5000. If you ever need some pointers feel free to ask.

I am a huge fan of angled shots but that is just me . . . . . i like to try and create shots at times. Photography is a art so do what you feel you like and shoot away . . . . . hell it's free.
