I finally got a new car after about 2 years. Picked up a 2009 Nissan Xterra in Silver Lightning. I actually get it on Monday, but I'm in love already. It's a very well thought out truck, two glove boxes, storage on the roof, rubbery plastic in the back with all kinds of storage. Can't wait to get it and give it a proper detail. Only 5800 miles on it too. Got a picture from my cell phone. Looks so much better in person.
Congrats on the purchase! I've always liked the Xterra's, I don't see too many in my area for some reason. Post some pics when you get a chance.
congrats on the new purchase ... so how many bottles of black wow are you planning on purchasing? I don't know if you know this, but the exterior plastics on the xterra were designed to fade early to give the truck a rugged look. I believe this is the response someone got from Nissan USA (saw this on a Nissan forum) because so many people were complaining about the sun fade.
Very nice. I love my '05 X. Has almost 100k on it now and little to no trouble. Make sure you post some pics! I didn't like the fading so much on the plastic, so I scuffed and shot the plastic with bed liner. Works good and holds up good, almost 2yrs now. Only respray I have to do is that was replaced after a black ice incident this winter.
Ew! I'll be keeping up with it for sure. BTW, autopia has a thread on how that Aquartz stuff marrs the finish. Look it up.
Nice truck you got there.. Get yourself some G|Tech G4 trim sealant and you will be good for a year or year and a half. UK people raving about it and how long it last and how well it looks. Little up front cost but little goes long way and dont have to worry about it. Cant wait to see some pics of it all detailed up!
The paint and all that look pretty good to me, but the wheels are a bit iffy with brake dust and some other crap on there, and the tires are greasy as hell. I'll take care of that and then take pictures.
Very nice looking Xterra, congrats on the new car! I was checking them out for a friend and it is very hard to find a low mileage one that hasn't been beat on or neglected mercilessly. So when are the 35" mud boggers going on then?
