This 2007 Infiniti G35 was in desperate need of a proper correction detail, a recent purchase by it's owner with only 13k original miles on it. Clearly it had fallen victim to poor dealership detailing and the damage was evident even in the shade, as you will see in the pictures to follow. This black car looked almost it had a matte finish before the correction, the 50/50 shots will clearly explain the difference. Process and products are listed!

    Products used

    Meguiars 105 + wool pad

    Menzerna 203 + orange pad

    CG wheel cleaner

    P21S TAW

    P21S paint cleanser

    Meguiar’s super degreaser (tires/wheels wells)

    Meguiar’s wheel brightener (wheels)

    Danase Paint Sealant

    CG metal wax

    Rejex

    3M adhesive remover

    Procedure:

Car was sprayed with P21S TAW and then rinsed. Washed with CG citrus wash clear.

    Correction steps.

Paint thickness was checked, was reading in 300 on most panels, looks like it was repainted, roof and couple panels were original (readings from 76-106. Paint had very similar properties after trying several combination of pads and polishes, Meguairs M105 and Wool were chosen since they got out most imperfections on first pass. Whole car was done with this combo. Followed with Menzerna 203 and orange, then wiped with P21S paint cleanser. Sealed with Denasee paint cleanser.

Exhaust was cleaned with CG metal wax since it was in good condition. Wheels cleaned with CG wheel cleaner.

Tail lights polished with Menzerna 203 and orange pad.

Glass cleaned. Tire dressed with poor boys bold and bright

Incredible job man. That paint was in really bad shape. Love the 50/50s. Did you use V1.0 or 2.0 of the Danase Paint Sealant? I have 2.0 and love it. It produces the longest lasting and slickest finish of any sealant I have tried, even more so than Powerlock and Blackfire, too bad it is no more.

Great job!!! I love it when detailers post fully corrected black colored cars!!! The improvements achieved make me want to detail more and more!!! The paint just looks dripping wet!! The gloss is amazing too!!!

Super job. Did you take a paint thickness reading? I have a G and only average 100 mic. Only use 85rd cause of the thin paint.

id say medium hardness, not as soft as honda paint but not as hard as ceramic

not sure which version, was gona ask how is this sealant, our new guy brought it couse he didnt use it and we like it so far. i guess they dont make it anymore?

yes i did. Paint thickness was checked, was reading in 300 on most panels, looks like it was repainted, roof and couple panels were original (readings from 76-106).

Nice job! I hated the clear on my black G35 Coupe, it was way too soft.

    Thank you

owner asked to focus on paint with limited time that we had with the car, whatever was on barrels didnt come off with first pass of wheel cleaner, to properly clean them we would i would need them off the car (usualy take me 2 hours to do that).

i spend 5 hours cleaning HRE wheels on Saleen that we did, didnt had that much time for this one unfortunately

    great job!

Althought, I don't get it? I never could reproduce "buffing trails" even if I tried. How the hell are some people doing that???
