For the record, I am not an employee of Swissvax or any of its subsidiaries/resellers.

Many times Hi-end, High priced products are all hype and just an overpriced disappointment. To me, Swissvax Concorso is not. I love it and I’ve never felt more positive about a car-care product.
After polishing off the previous sealant with Menzerna 085rd (I love this stuff too) plus an IPA wipedown, the paintwork was “squeaky” clean. I skipped the preparation step with the Swissvax cleaning fluid because I didn’t think it was necessary. I used a clean P21s applicator pad to apply the Swissvax concorso. The pad helps you apply the wax in a thin but uniform coat on both large and small areas. My wax appeared "gritty" right out of the jar, but it spread uniformly once the wax was worked into the pad. I waxed the entire hood and 2 front fenders in less than 5 minutes. I let it sit for 3-4 minutes longer and then removed it using a microfiber polish cloth. I found it to be extremely easy to remove (the easiest ever in fact) and it leaves behind a finish that I honestly feel enhances a polish job. I completed the rest of the car in less than 10 minutes. One major benefit over the sealant I was using was there was NO STATIC left on the paintwork. Gliding the back of my hand across the surface of the paint left me feeling as though this is the smoothest thing I’ve ever touched (well almost). Also, I feel that applying the Swissvax Concorso hid more of the imperfections (that I didn’t have the guts to grind out) than the sealant did. I think the sealant made them look worse.
I bought the Concorso for 2 reasons. I always wanted to try Swissvax. And I know myself better than anyone. 3 months from now, I’ll be looking to try the other Swissvaxes up stream. Right now, I am thinking that 3 months will come and go and I will be still in love with Swissvax Concorso and still using it. But then again, you never know.

I cannot attest to the durability of the product, because this is my first go around with it. Much has been written about its durability already so I would imagine the durability is reasonable.

    Thanks for reading. Joe D.

Thanks for the review. Concorso is THE swissvax wax to own, IMO. That is the one that, when I decide to buy a SV wax, I will buy first. I honestly don't see any reason to buy Mystery/Divine. Divine to me is VERY overpriced. About the same as Zymol Vintage, but no refills.

Crystal Rock, on the other hand... That still piques my interest.

I am glad you liked the review I wrote. I didnt want to make a fool out of myself, cuz I am not a writer, and even less of a detailer..

    Thanks, Joe D.

I am already rat holeing my lunch money... By the time I have enough for the Crystal Rock, I'll be about 3-1/2lbs.

I'm calling you later about some other stuff.

Concorso certainly looks great and is a must in every collection, but slick it is not. There's far more slicker products out there.

I've been using Concorso for about 2 years now and I fully agree that it's an awesome wax. It's reasonably priced, it's extremely easy to work with, smells like a million ducks and looks great. Can't ask for much more than that!

Concorso (Best of Show in the UK) is a lovely wax and seems to be the fav amoung most detailers for the price and the finish, but if you can stretch to Crystal Rock (yes i know 4x the price) you will see such a difference between the two, not only in Gloss but protection as well is amazing. I have both Best of Show and Crystal Rock and hardly use BOS, CR is my choice, soon ill get Divine then compaire

what is the difference between Conorso and Mirage/saphir? is the price diffrence between it worth it? (conorso)

Concorso gives more gloss, also higher nuba content....most people think its gives the "new car" look for much longer

worse nor better durability? what is the durability on it (concorso)?

Concorso is max at 6 months, Crystal Rock is 12 Months, but in the real world this all depends on a few factors, where you life, how you drive etc etc etc

Haha sweet. I'll probably make another one in the future for a different SV product. They just look so good in cases :)
He is probably referring to Fuzion, which is a competitor. While it does have a slicker feeling, I found the durability to be way inferior. I had it last only 2-3 weeks on my car lol...

P21s Concours of P21s 100% are two simple examples of slicker waxes.

But that's not taking anything away from Concorso. Its clarity and gloss is exceptional and good durability as well. Use it over Cleaner Fluid and it looks outstanding.

Reading a post from Asphalt Rocket elsewhere, he recommended to a poster to buy the Concorso over the Crystal Rock. AR said in his opinion CR wasn't any better than Concorso. He also mentioned he has all of the high end Swissvax waxes and this was his take.

If someone doesn't mind spending 4x times the money to find out by all means by CR & Concorso.. Then you can tell us your opinion on these waxes. :thumb:
