Has anyone heard about 2 new waxes comming out of Ireland. I heard through the grapevine that there will be a mid-range and a more exclusive range all handmade and all natural products with no chemists or chemical factories involved. The reports so far seem to be good, with a Dragon Green Vr6 golf still sheeting water of the car from a pressure washer and hose after 3 weeks with the beads sitting really tight and tall on the paintwork. Any info welcome..
Sheeting water after 3 weeks! Jesus that sounds like a wax so revolutionary it will change the name "wax" forever! It sounds like you joined just to help fellow detailers learn and detail, not to promote your own product!
Unfortunatly its nothing to do with me and the reason I have heard about it I am a member of a VW club in England and one of our club members was in Northern Ireland for the NW200 motorcycle racing and he heard the guy who owns the green car talking to another guy about the wax and that it would be on sale in the USA first, hence the reason I asked the question. As my friend being a member of the VW club got talking to him about his car and asked him about the wax he was talking about. Apparently he is going to be putting a video on youtube to show the results and all the details would be released on the major detailing sites so anyone can look at it.
Handmade/all natural/no factories involved/3 weeks of beading. What is supposed to set this apart from all the hundreds of other waxes?
I have no idea what sets apart not having used it, but I have used other waxes myself in the past that claim to be natural and handmade until you read their manufacture safety data sheet and you see the amount of chemicals used and the name of the chemical companies that produce the wax's. Until this wax is produced and we can all get some and see what the advertising says and whether or not there is a big orange hazzard badge on the back of the jar we will not know.
I dont know how people think its a strange thread, all I wanted to know was had anyone heard about a wax, not much strange with that. A simple yes or no would have done the job without everyone thinking something was a bit fishy, I thought this was supposed to be the best detailing site in the USA with the most informative people on it, I just hope that if this wax ever appears the person selling it gets a better response.
I know of the wax you maybe refering too, well more so if from Northern Ireland ! From the details i have read it will be interesting to see some, but I will never pay the price expected for the high end wax....Its in the same league as the likes of Swissvax Mystery as per cost. States is 100% pure carnauba, If is the same company I used their other wax and hated how it was, felt and looked like a tub of vaseline and was some of the most difficult to work with.
What a bunch of BS. 100% Pure Carnauba would be concrete in a jar. Real wax by volume stops being able to spread at 35%, or I believe that's what TOWGT said in his article.
I think they are saying that 100% of the wax used is Carnauba... which is uncommon, but not new. P21S has allready done this.
Without ever posting here, you join a forum and ask about a new wax comming up. If you dont see how this could seem fishy... You looked like a schill for the manufacturer. You still sorta do. You call this the greatest forum over here, yet all youve been talking about is this new wax.
That is a topic for another thread. Do a search, I am sure there are plenty of threads about how wax manufacturers rate the percentage of wax in their product. Basically there is NO standard and they can do and say what they want... I judge a wax or sealant by its performance, not the percentage of wax or price.
Thanks for a proper reply, do you have any idea what it was called so I can look into it. I would assume it was from NI as that is where the NW200 is held. Any info would be appreciated as my friend said the shine and depth of colour on the guys car was superb.
