Hello, What is a good topper for a paint sealant ? Looking for wetness without oily residue after wipeoff. Something for a blue pearl Acura TL. Car is not garaged so UV protection would be nice. Must be easy to apply and easy to wipe off and less than $ 50.00. Would this wax be better than just using Optimum Spray Wax ? I read thru some posts here and see it's highly recommended for use every couple of weeks.
go to your local walmart and pick up a pot of Autoglym High Definition Wax. you'll be good to go. and it sure beats having to order online and wait for it when you can just go to walmart.
My two choices would be Lusso Oro which is by far the easiest car care product I have ever used and looks great but lacks durability. The other is Pinnacle Signature Series II wax which is still very easy to apply and remove but has better durability and looks fantastic.
vic red one of the easiest LSPs to apply and remove no smearing, no residue, and a gloss/depth to rival anything on the market
Thanks for the comments ! I am learning a lot here here going thru prior posts. I see I can buy Pete's 53 on sale for about 40 dollars...same price as Lusso Oro . Any pro and con's about Pete's 53 ? I am amazed that CG has such a HUGE line of detailing products. I see they also have a foam gun on sale with free wash included so I am thinking I may buy both items via CG unless Lusso Oro is "better".
Collinite Insulator Wax as a topper over a sealant ?? Wouldn’t the petroleum solvents interfere with the sealant ? Please keep in mind I am also concerned about a oily surface (holds dust) after wiping off since my car is not garaged. It has to deal with big city contaminants.
i use a 4" LC Gold Foam pad on my polishing pal the wax is so soft you dont need to take heavy/multiple swipes 2 swipes on a fresh pad is enough to get stuck into multiple panels, it spreads on the paint like butter i wowo 2 panels at a time nb: it will stain your pad, but only in colour, its very easy to wash out (unlike rboe) back on topic, if you're choosing bw lusso and pete's 53, id vote lusso on the smell alone. Re durability, we all wax so often it really doesnt matter imo whether one wax lasts 4 weeks vs 5 weeks. Using lusso and the coconut smell that lingers in the air before and after detailing adds alot of intangible benefit to me
