Hey guys after lurking here for a few days I decided to join this awesome site. This place is full of knowledge and experience so I figured what better place to ask this (rather complicated) question. I have a 97 Corvette and a Harley truck that I always keep in great shape. I have been using (with great success) Zaino products, however I noticed they dont completely remove swirls. So after some research I realized I really need a wheel and some products to g along. So guys here is the question, help me make a shopping list. First off I figured the porter cable 7424xp was a good start for beginners, but what brand pads and polishes/compounds would you guys recommend. I was thinking ether the Adams or the Mequires. I still plan on using the Zaino for the top coat or 2 what do you guys think about that? I know this is a lot so I guess the best thing would be give me a good beginner shopping list assuming I have nothing and I can work from there. Thanks in advance for your guys time and Im very excited to here what you guys have to say.:thumb:
Well everything but right this moment specifically paint..... I already use the zaino leather stuff and it works great and the carpets are black so i just vacuum them haha. Including the wheel I'm looking to spend 350ish so give me a list..... What would be the best way to spend my $350?
Well, Im going to spend around that much soon too Well, this is my plan: Polishes- M105, M205 (maybe invest in some PO85RD too?) Pads- Lake Country 5.5 Flat (2x Orange, 2x White, 2xBlack) Wheel Cleaner- Brown Royal Sealant- Collinite IW845 and/or Menzerna Power Lock Wax-Lusso Oro *Completely unnecessary, so again optional* Clay-?? Clay Magic Blue?? (I'm going to get Ricardo, but its illegal in USA) Lube- ONR or Meguiars Last Touch 1:1 QD- Meguiars Last Touch Tire/trim Dressing- NO IDEA! I still need help with this one Shampoo- CG Glossworkz! Brushes!! RG Wheel Brush 28mm, RG XL Thats around $250 so far without the wax. I'll let others help too. I think that should get you nicely set up!
