Left handed, but can do anything pretty much with both hands other than write...like sports or what not.
Well I just happen to notice that dsms and scheerspeed both hold their polishers with their left hand so I was curious if there are more left handed detailers than right handed...

Looks left to me. I consider myself right handed and I use the right hand to hold the machine and left hand on top to steer it.
Sheerspeed is holding the rotary as a left handed person would naturally hold it. Dave is right handed but he holds the polisher as a lefty would. I can polish both ways but im a righty so thats the most comfortable way for me.
Your dominant hand is usually your strongest, so it would be easier to have it lift the the polisher. The steering part doesn't require much strength. In fact, you might be even able to control the whole polisher with your dominant hand alone.
I am ambi dextrous, although my dominant hand is my left, i write with my right hand and hold the polisher with my right, although i can do it my left as well. Even for sports, i use my left leg left arm for everything.
I'm a retarded lefty all the way ... Every day I have to remind myself the "lefty loosy, righty tighty" sayin'. I think I really enjoy working on my vehicles because of the everyday challenge ... lol
