If i fully detail my car (clay, Menz SIP, 106FA, and BFWD) what should i do to maintain the finish. I read that the BFWD has a durability of about 6 months. I wash my car about 1x a week and I take extra care not to mar the paint. Do I reapply the BFWD after 6months, or can I apply something else after each wash. Thanks

A lot of people like to use a QD after they wash that leaves a little something behind. It seems to help the durability of whatever LSP you have on top. But then after a certain amount of time, yes, you'll need to reapply BFWD. I can't speak to how long you should go, as I haven't used BFWD. I prefer 'nubas, and usually re-wax about every month just because. So yes, you can use something after each wash to help the longevity of BFWD, but you still need to reapply every 6 months or so.

I personally wouldn't even wait for the last minute or day to go by before re applying. I personally wax my car every few weeks. Once i notice the beading changing i generally will re apply my LSP before all the protection is gone.

It's just nice to have a layer of protection on the vehicle.

I am also someone who waxes every 6-8 weeks. Keep in mind that because some people get 6 months durability out of some products(and really slickness over beading is a great indicator) doesnt mean your current situation will reproduce that. I would use something like OCW or DG AW as a drying aid that happens to also be a spray wax. That way youre boosting or maintaining your LSP with something thats helping you dry the car and you can always repeat your waxing every 6-8 or however long you choose. Just don't go by everyone else's experience, sometimes they are lucky or you aren't:thumb:
