I started in autopia, my 1st purchase is made with AG, them come Pac, then DI, then DD, I never had problems with anyone. I stopped going to AG forum since last year, jus no fun there. Then I read the article on autopia about someone's experience with their forum, and now it got me thinking differently about the company, basically if they don't have a killer deal, I'll take my business else where

No thanks man, The last time I done business was the old formula ONR on buy one get one free, and that's before I read anything bad about AG, it my fault cause I was new to detailing and dunno anything about AG??? Please give me a break and yes if there's a killer deal I won't pass it up
What's all this animosity towards Autogeek? They are a great retailer, just like most other detailing stores. They offer competitive pricing, great service, fast shipping, and a wealth of information on their forum. Sure, they make their own products so recommendations for their products are going to pop up more frequently, but they're not holding a gun to your head to order Wolfgang DGPS over any other sealant they sell. At the end of the day, their priority is to earn and maintain your business, just like any other retailer.
Hi Emile, Well I did some more searching over on autopia and found what has started all this. AutoGeek Rant - Questionable Business Ethics - Autopia.org As I predicted, somebody didn't get what they wanted so a small group of what I'd call trouble makers have been starting crap on several other detailing sites. Some are so brazing as to post crap on these boards then go back over to autogeek and make posts like nothing has happened. BTW don't go over to Autopia and paste any of your work without the process you used. The above poster now thinks that unless you have 500 posts you shouldn't be allowed to post. I think a picture limit should be imposed too. You should have to contribute to the community in a form other than showing off your work (for the purpose of gaining more work) before you can just blatantly advertise for free. It's perfectly logical and Dave F just wanted to voice it.
There are many other forums with stupid rules. If it is ok with the owner of Autopia, who is Fermani to question what is and isn't allowed? Let him start his own site.
the new owners of autopia are effectively MIA... so they aren't there to impose/revise any rules. It's not stupid, IMHO. I've been on Autopia nearly a decade and the quality of the posts has gone downhill and the quantity of pictures from people who do no contributing has skyrocketed.
Sorry, but there have been isolated problems far prior to my thread. They’ve all pretty much been related to bad customer service, and have been mostly remediated AFAIK. I think AutoGeek has great customer service and goes above and beyond when it comes to passing over the nickels to pick up the quarters; just so their competition can’t. Which I can fully understand, respect and appreciate. If you read my rant you’d realize it had nothing to do with that. Shorty after both threads were locked, I received apologies through direct phone contact from both Mike Phillips & Jason @ AutoGeek. I even received a PM from Troy @ Detail City for the way that judgement of me was passed incorrectly. I also was invited to attend their Detail Fest which I declined. I really have no hard feelings for AG and can kinda say that I’ve forgiven them for their stupidity. I just haven’t and will not forget it and choose to not give them any more of my hard earned money. I’ve never once questioned the owner’s of Autopia for the way their forum is being ran. I actually think their involvement since DavidB left has been refreshing. I questioned the people who post Click N Brags and contribute nothing else. Sorry if you can’t understand or comprehend that. Maybe you should share your opinion on that thread instead of here where people may or not be following? So far pretty much everyone has agreed with my stance.

Glad I was never a part of autogeek's forum. This is the second forum I ever joined. The first was detailuniversity, but there was little to no traffic on there.
