What's a good topper for Opti-seal?

    Hi guys.
Just joined this forum and in need of your recommendations.
Currently there are some good deals on the Fuzion and Midnight Sun.
I am using Opti-seal right now, and want some inputs on whether it's beneficial to top OS with a carnauba, in particular, Fuzion or Midnight Sun.
Or would I be better off switching to BFWD or Wolfgang DGPS?
Also, I've read that the Menz Power Lock is similar to BFWD (which some say is slicker, easier to use than DGPS).
Should I just get the Power Lock/Fuzion or Power Lock/Midnight Sun.
    Thanks in advance.:thumb:

never used opti-seal but I heard BFWD topped with midnight sun looks nice :D

But there is no need to use a sealant over another sealant. maybe just go for the fuzion if you plan on sealing with the opti-seal.

Oh, sorry i wasn't being clear. I wasn't planning on using BFWD over Opti-seal. I meant to ask if i should replace Opti-seal with either BFWD or DGPS.
Thanks. I may get the Fuzion and try it over Opti-seal.
    Fuzion instead of Midnight Sun?

I have never used optiseal, MS, fuzion or dgps. I have used BFWD and like it. If you do get the BFWD, get some MS to top it.

Right now though, I have been using Powerlock, by itself.

How do you find Power Lock?
    Is it similar to BFWD?

Fuzion does a great job, so does Luso Oro and its cheaper

There are close in ease of use, and easy to remove, but I find powerlock to be a tad easier to apply thin coats with. I have applied it with a DA, I have not done that with BFWD.

Powerlock feels a tad bit slicker to me as well.

    Thanks for the input.

I will keep Power Lock in mind.

Hmmm, never thought of Lusso Oro.

How do you find the application of that? Is it like, how do some say it, "wipe-on-wipe-off"?

I prefer Power Lock topped with INSIGNIS ;)

Opti-Seal topped with Pink Wax is pretty nice. Downside is the durability of PW in this S. Texas weather.

AG HD Wax over OptiSeal gave me some crazy beading a few showers ago, and the combo looks great.

I tried OptiSeal when it was all the rage on Autopia, honestly - I was underwhelmed by a mile. I ended up trading for something else and then something else, etc

I use BFWD as my go-to sealant, it's extremely easy to apply anf remove, slick, looks great and I've had 4 good months out of it. BTW - I've tried, M21, NXT, FK, Z2, Z5, HD Poxy, 1Z glans wax, Wolfgang, and several others in the past. Maybe that new Menzerna is as good as BFWD, but I have a lot of BFWD to use before I try it.

THe best topping wax is (IMHO) Autoglym HD, if you want a topper, I think it makes a great stand alone wax and it's what I use on the wife's Highlander. Tip, apply with a PC and work it in the paint, thin to win, or was that skin - no - that was the wet t-shirt thing at the bar...

    Thanks for your inputs.
As much as I would like to try AGHD, my local Walmart doesn't carry it yet.
I've ordered the Fuzion and the Menzerna Powerlock.
Hopefully I get them by the weekend!:thumb:
