Try explaining to him that most parts will be boring, so you'll come and get him during the more "exciting" parts.
Try to look at it in a positive light.... Two sets of eyes are better than one. Have the customer look over the panels already worked while you move on to the next one. I personally this is a HUGE proponent to building rapport with the customer. Now keep in mind that if I were in this position I would have a radio on or music of some sort in the background, helps the awkward silence while you are not making noise with a machine.
I figured with that suggestion you can kind of control what he sees to an extent. If something isn't working right, it makes it 1000x worse if he's standing over your shoulder watching.
Just think, run115 is detailing that car at this very moment :shead: Wonder how its all gonna turn out. I bet not half as bad as he was imagining. Hope he packed 2 lunches :giggle:
OK......yes started it all this morning, is not finished yet, will finish today or Saturday latest. It was all good, I must admit, I was fed and I was also given drinks, at his expense in my premises so cannot argue much i guess. Nice and decent guy, although a bit too talkative!!!! He even offered to design me a website for cheap since he works in IT and web design!! Thanks guys!!!!
Glad it is ok. I was going to suggest that you tell him you have no problem with him watching, but you will need to stay at it and cannot field questions and he will have to stay out of your immediate work area for you to get done by ** o'clock. Polisher could get away from you if you were distracted...etc.
