Today we have a 96 Mustang GT with some goodies. The car was booked for a two step polish with some interior cleaning. looks good! a breath of fresh air into that car's appearance. what was your process on the leather? what sealant on the wheels?
Thanks :thumb:, process on the leather was steam cleaned first then applied a leather cleaner/conditioner by hand, then brushed with a leather brush and finished by buffing off the excess product. As for the wheels I used FK1000 Sealant
wow that mustang was hammered. THe paint shows definite signs of pitting and dullness. You brought out the luster in that paint. I have to say that mustang is probably one pf the very few from that body style that i have seen that i actually liked. Nice work! What kind of camera are you using? digging the night shots of washing the vehicle . . . . . . . . sad to see the exhaust. If only the owner knew that most of that rust could have been cleaned fairly easily.
Thanks, I will try to get pictures of it in the sun when I get it back in, I'm using a Sony DSC-W55 (Point and Shoot) the exhaust will be done soon, the customer is aware that it can be fixed. He just needed the car sooner than planned so I have to finish the exhaust another day
Ev, I noticed you didn't touch the exhaust. (j/k) Looks great dude. The wheels came out very nice. What'd you use on the tires?
Holy shit, talk about quick on the learning curve.. EV this is your best work yet, top notch correction and interior work. Owner must have flipped, keep it up!
Awesome work Ev. I really like the attention to detail specially with the spoiler removal. How much time did you spend on this stang? BTW ... where did you get the foam the you installed on the license plate?
Thanks man he really did like it Thanks Bill :thumb: Haha that damn exhaust, as for the tires I used CG Silk & Shine Thanks Rog Haha thanks Dave thanks ferg Thanks G I spent around 16 hours on it. The foam that i used for the plate is used for hvac systems and i have some left over from the business. The clear was medium. if that makes any sense lol SIP on orange pads first and then i followed up with 106 on green ubers to finish
Hey, Thats the same color as my SN95!!! Great Job!! Just for the record, the color code is E9 called "Laser Red Metallic" Tell the owner to upgrade to some Cobra Headlight.... It will really set off the front end!!!
That's a nice turnaround! :thumb: For future reference, on really crummy exhaust tips I use a fresh SOS pad as part of the wash... lots of soap for lubricity. Works great around the carboned up inner lips as well. Only takes a minute and I can frequently skip more intensive polishing. TL
thanks ill let the owner know. I actually convinced him to get his car detailed after I showed him a picture of yours lol. i told him "your car could look like that" thanks TL, ill look into those pads. my plan of attack for when i get the car in again is to use 00 steel wool, then 000 and finally 0000 to get all the rust off. I might get away with just 000 and 0000 but who knows
HAHAHAH Thanks Funny!!! Did you really show him a picture of My SN95 and say that? That funny. What did he say when he saw the pics of my Whip? Just some info for you the "Owner" cause he might not know - Those Cobra headlights are discounted from Ford because they are made by Silvania. You can no longer by them for Ford and anyones you can they are like $289 a piece!!! They make knock off Cobra lights for these cars but because of the patent they dont look the same. I actually bought 5 used OEM sets from various sources on the internet and restored them, one set of which is on my car. I have 1 more set Left. If he wants them i can mail them to him. Here is the link to My Cobra Headlight Resto project.... Check it out!!! OEM Cobra Headlight Resto + Install ***Lots Of Pics***
Yep he loved how it looked so he had to get his done. Ill let him know about the headlights they look great. thanks
