This is probably a question that has been covered, but I'm not very experienced and am looking for all the tips I can to help with my personal cars. What is the best way to remove polish that has gotten on some of the black plastic trim and window moldings? Thanks for the help!
First, try a decent quality APC (all purpose cleaner) and use a tooth brush to agitate the area. This should pretty reliably pull out the wax through cleaning. Another option is to use something like Poorboy's Trim Restorer which has a light cleaning action that will remove the wax residue and dress the trim (great stuff btw).
Try applying more of the product on the infected area and wipe off immediatly. I don't know the technical reason this works, but it does :meditation:
I've wanted to try that. In fact, I found some at a local body supply shop, but they didn't have any pricing, so they couldn't sell it to me. I've gotten wax on trim a few times. I've just used Prepsol on an mf. Came right off.
Try to find from a local car paint supplier the 3M paint control spray... you just spray the part you want to clean ,the compounds, polishes and wax disappear in a minute!!! You may need a soft tooth brush to agitate the area if the problem persist!!!!
Without a doubt, Klasse AIO! Not only does it remove any contaminant from trims, but also it's good for the paint around it unlike some other APCs.
