when I first started waxing i would notice that car would attract dust everywhere i went almost like it had a static charge to the paint, later on I used a qd like megs or mothers quick detailer and a mf towel after waxing, what does everyone else use to wipedown after waxing.

FK425. Although the last vehicle I did, I just used ICE COLD distilled water to set the wax. never followed it up with FK425.

in most cases i use the same brand QD as the wax ive used

my FK425 tends to get used the most though, i like how it doesnt alter the look as much as other QD's, but rather just adds a bit more slickness

nothing... I don't like to use a QD after wax, as I think it lowers the look the wax gives, but I might try distilled water.

I know it gets dusty but thats a wax. Personally I only see dusting on the next day when the car gets outside.

I use FK425 because it is bullett proof in terms of ease of use and has a low cleaning ability which I believe to be accredited to a lower amount of solvents and cleaners which will affect the layer of wax less than others. If I get some streaks or dark patches, I will step up to Gloss-It gloss enhancer but will only spray a bit on the MF and wipe the car down.

This is a great way to use FK425 too. In fact, my preferred way to use it if I'm using it right after waxing.

I will take the sprayer off the bottle, and put the bottle in the freezer just before going out to wax the car. When it's time to remove the wax, I pull the bottle from the freezer. It's nmormally VERY close to freezing at this point. You want to remove the spray head, since that part could freeze first, and destroy the sprayer head.

The last time I put a spray bottle in the freezer I forgot to take off the spray head.

Anyway, if I'm using a high-end wax like Zymol or Swissvax, I always wipe down the car after applying the wax. If you don't you get "sweating" which a smeary look kind of looks like buffer holograms actually. To prevent the "sweating" I'll wipe down the car with either chilled distilled H20 or chilled QD. The last time I waxed my car I used Zymol Field Glaze.
