Hi guys Just got done giving my car a quick detail as it's up for sale I had some very minor wash induced swirls so i was tossing up which glaze to use - CK RMG, Blackfire GEP, but since the CG EZ-creme was the latest purchase i decided to give that a shot. Im really liking the CG product line, everything ive used goes on and off so easily. The only issue for me in using the Vertua-Bond and now the EZ-Creme is the amount of product i need to use - i find im using alot of product to get a good even spread on the DA, a fair bit more than im used to. I couldnt believe how easily it hide the swirls, very impressive for such a small amount of effort. Under the Led Lenser P7 i couldnt see any swirls remaining. For the LSP i chose to use the Vic Concours. Having used the Chaos and been very impressed with how easy it was to wipe on/off, i was not dissappointed with the Vic Concours. I used a gold 4" LC pad on the polishing pal and i couldnt believe how far just a couple of initial swipes went!!! And it buffed off so easily Depth did amp up quite a bit over the EZ-Creme, but i only really started noticing the gloss and wetness after i had it out in the sun taking pics I applied two coats, in between i applied CG WheelGuard. Again another brilliant CG product that wipes on and off so easily. My wheels were previously wearing CG VertuaBond + 2x JetSeal. I havent driven the car enough to see whether brake dust build up has reduced, but i will keep an eye on it over the week. It did give the wheels, especially the silver centres a very bright finish, alot of flake pop, most ive seen on these wheels - looking at them in the sun they threw off a heap of glare And now the pics....
Jeez I love that car!!! Looks awesome!! I was scrolling down and thought I was looking at a giant Afro!!!! hahaha
ive had the car for 3 years, time for a new project i want to get back into another jap car.....i loved my 350Z and regret selling it so ill most likely go for a GTR this time, in solid black again
Gotta love having a bad ass BMW and want to sell it because its just old news, man I love being a guy!! Good luck with the sale!
Has Nissan addressed, and or fixed the GTR's transmission warranty/launch control issue.? I remember a few people tore their transmissions up using the launch button, and Nissan voided their warranty. Not sure what the out come of all of that was, but one person I read had to foot the bill of over 22k for a new trans & install.
If he is looking at a 2010+ then he's fine...they apparently removed the Launch Control from 2010 and up. Gorgeous car btw . How much EZ-Creme did you end up using on the whole car?
What a beautiful car! The color combination, wheels, etc. make this one of the most tasteful E46 M3s I've seen. I love it.
the Launch Control hasnt been removed it was re-programmed to work with the VDC on, so you dont void the warranty - this was done on the 2009 update. They have continually improved the car over the last 2 updates, so ill definitely be going for the 2010, which has a much improved low speed ride in terms of suspension and gearbox. It also scores some of the goodies from the Vspec like the diffuser, turbo intake tract, etc the 2010 will do a 0-60mph in 3.3s with the VDC on!!
