    Hi guys

I’m new to this forum and I have been reading / looking at product reviews for the last week or so in order to get some products. This is my first post and please accept my apologies if this post is not in the right forum.

    I have a Volvo V70 2.4T, 2001 – Black with Tan leather interior
Paint condition: Swirl present and some scratches
Interior Condition: Leather would need some care.

I just want to validate my selection for this 1st kit and answer some questions:

    Interior:
    • Leather: Letherique 16 oz kit (Leatherique leather care & restoration products are available in the Leatherique 16 ounce kit! Clean leather seats with leatherique!)
    • Trim dressing: Chemical Guys SILK SHINE (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Tire*&*Vinyl...)

    Engine bay:
    • Cleaner / degreaser: Amazing Roll-Off (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Cleaners*&...)
    • Same Trim dressing: Chemical Guys SILK SHINE

    Wheels:
    • Same Cleaner / degreaser: Amazing Roll-Off
    • Dressing: Chemical Guys Extreme VRP (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Tire*&*Vinyl...)

    Exterior Trims:
    • Wax Cleaner: Wax Blaster (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Waxes*&*Sealants...)
    • Same Dressing: Chemical Guys Extreme VRP

    Exterior Wash:
    • Shampoo: Optimum car wash (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Car*Wash*&...)
    • Two bucket method with grid guards

    Exterior Paint:

    Clay:
o Clay bar: Professional Detailing Clay Bar: (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Clay*Bars*::...)
o Clay Lubricant: ChemicalGuys Luber (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Clay*Bars*::*Luber*-...)

    Touch up:
o Langka Blob Eliminator (Langka Paint Chip Finisher)
o Volvo touch up kit (two parts paint & clearcoat)

Polish to LSP - By Hand:
o Polish: ChemicalGuys Final Polis FP (WaxOn*WaxOff*Canada*-*Your*canadian*car*care*and*car*detailing*supplier.*::*Polishes*&...)
o Glaze: Poorboys World Blackhole Show glaze (eShine Canada: Poorboy’s World Black Hole Show Glaze for Dark Vehicles (16oz))
o LSP: Collinite Super double coat #476 (eShine Canada: Poorboy’s World Black Hole Show Glaze for Dark Vehicles (16oz))
o Pads: Customized handjobber essential ki: (eShine Canada: Customizable HandJobber Essentials Kit)
    * 1 Orange / 1 white / 1 black pads.
    * Use White/CG FP first (Orange/CG FP if required) than Black with PB BH.

Polish to LSP – Porter Cable:
o I found this PC kit that includes Meg 105 & 205 polish: Porter Cable 7424 XP-M1 7424 XP Polisher/Meguiar’s Polish Kit (Porter Cable 7424 XP-M1 7424 XP Polisher/Meguiar's Polish Kit at Tools Plus)
o I would use the same glaze (PB blackhole) and LSP (Collinite #476) as above (by hand)

    Questions:

    • Interior: I’m not sure about what to use to clean interior vinyl/plastics before dressing. Any suggestion?
    • Any instructions / advice on how to use the two parts touch up paint with Langka ?
    • Towels for drying / Microfiber for buffing: Any suggestions for a kit that would cover exterior & interior? There are so many choices out there that it is somewhat confusing
    • For polishing by hand, I have chosen CG Final Polish. Is this a good choice or should I go with PB SSR1 or Poorboy's Polish Kit (eShine Canada: Poorboy's Polish w/Carnauba Kit) since I do not have access to a garage and I may have to do this detailing under the sun / light shade?

    Notes:
    • Obviously I would rather go with the PC kit but sometimes I have to make some budgetary consideration with the “one that I must obey”

    So that's basically it.
Any help / suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

imo the leatherique process is overkill for modern leather unless its seriously dried out or a very dirty light colour

for maintaining clean leather id go with Zaino Z9 & Z10

interior plastics you cant beat 1Z Cockpit Premium

for a glaze, id go with either the Clearkote Red Machine Glaze or the Chemical Guys EZ-Creme. Both have proven to hide swirls better than Blackhole - the only advantage Blackhole has over the CG EZ-Creme is it cleans as well, so if you need to use it as a one step cleaner + glaze + swirl hider, go with the Clearkote

i know almost every brand has a claybar these days, but i still use the Claymagic stuff

for wheels i think everyone unamously (spelling!) agrees on P21S Wheel Cleaner

    good stuff!

you will be happy with optimum car wash. my favorite car wash soap.

if you ever need a good metal polish, i recommend optimum metal polish. you can get it from phil at detailers domain. I think he still has a promo for new members...i think you use the code"NEWBIE" for 15% off and flat rate shipping. there are also a ton of other great products that you can get there...as a matter of fact, just about every product that Phil sells is fantastic

You cannot go wrong with eShine or Autowerkes, both are run by great people with great customer service.

I highly recommend picking up an EZ detail/Daytona wheel brush. Or you can try out the raceglaze brush from ken, I've heard that that is a very nice brush as well
