i just purchased a 2004 aspine white sti with low miles along with a 3m clear bra for the bumper, hood, mirrors, etc. I have read that some suggest to strip wax off before application and other say to wax. those that have experience with these did you wax before putting it on? i was going to polish, seal and wax the whole car before I put it on. any help is greatly aprreciated, thanks.

I have always been under the impression that you want a completely clean surface free of any products or contaminants. Most places I have seen always do an IPA or solvent wipedown to allow the adhesives of the clear bra to adhere as best as possible.

Correct - Pre-installation- a completely clean surface free of any products or contaminants is a requirement. Installer’s will use a chemical paint cleaner to enable the adhesives used to adhere efficiently
