which soap do you guys find works best in a foam cannon? is it me or does it seem that some soaps that are great in buckets dont seem to work best in a foam cannon? thanks

Wouldn't all soap foam up pretty well in foam cannons, considering how much air they pump into the gun to foam up?

For foam gun, on the other hand, I would prefer optimum car wash.

I've fine results using Megs Hyper Wash. 1 pump/1oz(+what's left in the pump head, when tightening it) gives me enough to cover a 3-series BMW, including all arches. Which means that 1 gallon will last forever.

I think HW will remove waxes at some dilutions, but I've had no problems so far.

    Kind regards,

I find myself constantly switching between Optimum Car Wash and Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds.

Tony- if you figure something out, let me know. I'm struggling. In fact, I just posted this over on Autopia this afternoon- maybe we'll get someone to lead us in the right direction.

So I've had my new PW and foam cannon for a few weeks and I'm just not getting the amount of foam I'd hoped for. I've played with different dilutions/setting but it's not making that thick shaving cream type foam. I'm currently using a 3300 psi/2.8gpm Ridgid and the Autogeek foam cannon. The Cat Pump is actually rated @ 2850 psi, but I'm wondering if I'm pushing the limits of the cannon? I just saw that the PA and Campsray were both rated at 3000psi max- is this possible? Today I mixied 3oz of CG CWC with 1oz of DP Xtreme foam with ~28 oz of water (32 total) and it paled in comparison to some of the videos I've seen. I'll continue to experiment with other soaps and ratios and can probably get some pics up tomorrow, but I'm hoping somebody may have some insight.

    Thanks in advance.

Any soap will work. It just depends on how much soap you need to mix into there ;)

The most of car wash soaps works fine. My faves are Duragloss 901/902 and Optimum Car wash for slickness and nice foam, and for the price CG maxi suds is OK. I've seen people using Johnson baby shampoo with their cannons even Dawn will make great foam :D

DP Extreme Foam works well in the cannon.

we have such hard water up by us that it helps reduce the water spots.

Do you notice a drop in foam when you add it in?

I didn't really notice it with the lusso auto bathe.

I can't remember what soap I was using, I think CWC, but the suds just cut out. Or maybe I just messed something else. Time for a test then, eh?
