    Hello all!

I am wondering if it is an accepted/recommended practice to seal/wax a car before installing PPF. I am taking delivery of a new BMW M3 in May and will be having the whole car covered in Ventureshield.

I will be prepping the car myself and was wondering if I should stop with the polish and have the Ventureshield installed over the naked clayed and polished paint (no sealer or wax) or if I can seal and wax the car and have the Ventureshield installed over it. I was going to use Einszett Metallic followed by Swissvax Concorso.

I am open to recommendations of products that I can use under the Ventureshield before installation and any good products to maintain the Ventureshield after installation.

    Thanks in advance.

You do not want anything on the paint when you PPF, polish the car and stop there do not apply wax or sealant. Installer should clean the car with something to strip oils and anything else.

On the PPF something like Opt Opti-Seal, 1z Spray Wax, pure sealant will work well in maintaining it. I use CG Clear Seal on my PPF I have on my headlights between using Opti-Seal every month or so to keep them clean and Clear Seal puts down a little protection as well. It is a nice QD style cleaner/sealer for PPF.

Thanks very much for the answers....... I was actually thinking a QD would be best on the PPF!!
