Is that a new S4 in your av? I think the back and fourth between Audi and BMW is getting silly, the cars they make dont match up evenly. To each their own! You cannot pin an M6 against an R8 and you cant pin an S4 against an M3!
But they are competing for consumers who are cross shopping between the brands regardless of the style and type of car each company produces.
