ive been pondering for the past few weeks about what polish im going to buy next for the upcoming warm detail weather. im think going to go with menzerna SIP and 85RD but have been looking for something with more bang for my buck. question is, has anyone tried any of CG's polishes or even the glazes? reason im interested is gallon sizes + price of menz 32oz = more money in my pocket per detail. ive used other CG's products like the citrus wash and gloss and am more than happy with that. just hope there other products are as nice. thanks, Andy
i have used both CG and menz, well really just about all the polishes available and can honestly say i returned to menz hands down. absolutely the best gloss and results with menz. i would use 2-3 times as much of the other polishes compared to menz. i can do a full sized sedan with 2-3oz of menz
Take it from my lesson learned...Powerfinish has replaced SIP. Its far better. The bang for your buck really depends on your market I guess. Menz polishes work very well and that is why so many use them.
alright, thanks for the good advice guys. just looking for some ways to buy in bulk and save some cash by doing it. i dont want to cut corners though. ill have to try that powergloss out, i think they sell that one in 16oz sizes so i wont have to shell out 40+ for giving it a shot.
never tried it. next time i order some stuff i might get the M105. wish they had like a 4oz trial size so i dont waste my money
Are most of you using a DA or rotary with Menz polishes? Can a G110v2 break down Menz polishes correctly?
I use a incredible amount of Chemical Guys Product while detailing. Their Polishes are alright but Ive had a couple that are to watery and destroy my pads over time, I switched to Menz and never had it happen again and the depth is amazing just check my profile pic of my vette. Another note if your interested in CG compounds there not that good, they do what they say they do but I can never finish them down right and it seems that leave micro marring after buffing with my flex. I always have to go right behind their compounds with Menz. I wasted a lot of money on their compounds There glazes are pretty good, sealants are really good, and dressings like silk shine are one of my favorites they beat 303 in my opinion, you've got to buy a can of 50/50 wax, that and jetseal are their best products along side Citrus Wash and Gloss, They have good wheel cleaners too like Diablo, and good leather cleaner and conditioner.
