i asked a similair question last week but my money is short and so is my time and need products in a few days to take care of some cars before next weekend.

I'll answer for a rotary. My 3 choices would be Megs 105, Presta Ultra Cutting Creme Light and Menz 85rd. Pads are where the magic happens...you really, really don't want to limit those! Have wool and LCC orange, green, white, blue and gray. Nothing is impossible with that selection. It will work fine with a DA, it'll just take longer.

    Three pads would be:

LC Orange - incredibly versatile - seriously in love with LC orange pads when I see them I go

LC White - incredibly versatile with glazes(both ones with abrasive quality and non abrasive quality) finishing polishes to even compounds

LC black - incredibly versatile for glaze, LSP, Polishes etc..

    Polishes would be:

Meguiars 105 - again with pads you can make a ton of combos

Menzerna 106FA - See above. Plus you can use it to make 105 work a bit longer

Menzerna PO85RD or Micro Polish II they can be used with black or white and respond really well on every paint including honda, and crappy soft repaints..

I would have to go with
    Polishes

    • Megs 105
      Menz 203 Powerfinish
      Menz 85RD Micro polish
    Pads

    • LC Flat Orange
      LC Flat Green
      LC Flat Black

The 106 has a bit more bite and does not finish off quite as nice....106, micro polish, 85rd...I have all 3 and I must say..they're pretty damned close to one another. It's more the technique with Menzerna and pad choice that make the difference. I could finish down nicer with 106 than someone could with 85rd who didn't know how to work it as well. My point is don't get too concerned with the choice.
