i love detailing and all, but i love how my family thinks ill just do it for no charge, and im not one to say no. i feel like just giving it up sometimes arge. 12 hrs of work dont = dinner

Sucks, few times I have done friends cars I have asked for a nice steak dinner....How did you like AH HD?

lol ya that's one of the perks of detailing an people knowing friends = no money an family = no money lol.

Hm, my friends feel guilty if they don't pay me my full rate. They know I do great work and feel like they're more of a friend by giving me something in return for my valuable time. That even goes for family too.

I'm sorry it doesn't work out that way for you too man.

yeah, ive detailed for family and got the short end of the stick as well.
but no more. (especially since im not talking to them right now anyways)

 

not only that friends of a friend too... one was an s line a4 and a 370z. not like a shortage of funds there!

 

Spray wax or Opti-Seal!!! Maybe something with some fillers later on!! Opti-Seal might cost a little more but you'd get some nice protection. Tell them Fed-Ex uses it on their jets hahaha. Then everyone they knew would be coming to you for a $25 wash/wax. So, might not want to tell them that.

 

meh ima start telling everyone find someone else to do a full exterior detail for dinner.

 

Cant blame you there man!!! They'll be disappointed when they get the price and then see the results!

 

cant you just say no? all my friends ask me to detail their cars all the time, and i say ok it will be around x amount of dollars and they back off. plus my car always looks nicer than theirs so its a win always.
