    hey guys,

Just had a quick question on how refills work for Zymol Vintage. I heard you have to pay $800 on top of the initial cost of the wax for the lifetime refills. How strict are they on refills and what are the rules? This has been buggin me for the past while and just wanna know.

    Thanks, Brendan

I thought it was included in the price but you had to pay shipping too and from on the pot.

I thought I read somewhere that it's an additional $800 for the refills, but I just checked out eshine and it says lifetime refills at no additional cost. I guess my question would be if you split the purchase with somebody, how would they know when you need a refill? Is there a limit?

there would have to be a limit, otherwise people would be scrapping it out and re-selling since way back before they invented sliced bread

So thats why it is all over on ebay. :crasy:

I recommend buying some from somebody on here and trying it first. While I thought it was a very nice wax I do not like how much it sweats on my dark Sapphire Viper. I also do not know how anybody would go through 22ozs or even 8ozs unless you were selling it. I apply my wax with an applicator which I feel uses much less than the hand application method but 1oz seems to do my car numerous times.

I could not justify spending that much money even with the lifetime refills when there are so many other nice waxes out there like Swissvax, Supernatural etc... Not to mention I enjoy trying different products which would cut into my Vintage usage even more.

There's a lot of misinformation about this wax on the internet particularly about the refill process. I know there are a number of people on the site that own Vintage and will chime in with facts and not conjecture.

As long as you are not abusing the refill you will be fine. You pay for shipping to Zymol, must be insured and properly packaged, so this could cost $100-150 for shipping cost. Calgary on here got his refilled every 3-4 months when he first got his if I remember correctly as he did 5 or so cars (family cars) and applied it by hand.

If Zymol catches you selling/trading or anything like that of Vintage then they will cancel your refills which is why you dont see many people doing it or they do it in private.

Right. I have yet to try it out. I've tried to get my hands on a sample before, but have since given up. I'll stick with SN and RBOE. And maybe concorso.

We only have to pay for shipping it over to the states (we're in scotland) and back (+insurance), nothing else...

since you have to apply it by hand (bare hands). thats probably why it can be used up so fast.

$800 is if you transfering ownership

i have vintage an a few other fine waxes an i have done a bunch of samples for people so they can try an not have to spend a ton of money until they want to. this is how it works for all the free lifetime refills no catches or tricks lol.

you buy it brand new with certificates an serial number an it gets registered to you an only you an your address only.

you run out you pay shipping fully insured to them an you pay return shipping fully insured back no other fees.

if it is broken not cleaned numbers messed up etc. you pay or you screwed buy a new one.

you can refill it as much as you want but if you get caught an you will using it for commercial use you loose refills get black listed for further purchases they take the tub if you send it in an the new rules now everyone has to sign a waiver that states they can sue for breach of contract since now that is what you enter in.
this has started with the new year an their new location so you will see way less samples being sold an given out as for ebay everyone that sells on ebay gets caught an screwed. so to everyone who does do a sale or sample an is lucky enough to get any of the big 3 it pays to keep your mouth shut or your loose your respect fast an no more goodies for you lol.

now you can refill it 100 times a year but lets be real 22 oz's of wax who the hell is going to use that much on a personal collection of cars an have to refill more than 2 times a year that is how they know who to watch an how they pop ya.

so there it is in a nut shell any other info. needed be glad to help shhhh.

not true cause jay will hire me an you to do it lol.

if you have a shop an you buy it they know you going to use it for profit you will get screwed i have seen this a ton of times. they take your money wait for you to use an send in for refill an pop ya an they say oh well you signed that's the deal you loose so be carefull.

only way you can use for profit is if you are a zymol certified detailer threw them an it is big big bucks 11,000.00 just for the start up licensing fees.

ah icic thanks for all the useful information. So it can't be used for commercial use, only on your personal cars. Makes sense, otherwise I'm sure everybody would be all over it right now
