I finally got tired of IE's crap and upgraded to Firefox. I was impressed with how easily Firefox imported all of my links. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and am pretty impressed with how fast it is. Another reason that I like it is that it works well with gmail. It opens and responds quickly. With IE, it was super laggy and would take forever to load.
So now that I have it, I'd like to add more favorite links but am unsure how to do this. IE was super easy to use in that regard, but with FF I can't seem to do it. Sorry for the noob question, but it's driving me bonkers. TIA for the help, guys.

Top bar, click bookmark then add bookmark (should be first "button" or w/e you call it)

You can click org bookmarks if you want to make new folders and move things around.

I've got several folders in bookmarks, for example auto detailing, Am. Bulldogs, motorcycles, etc. How do I get a link into a specific link? In IE I would click the Add to Favorites button and it would then allow me to choose what folder I wanted to put it in. I don't see that option with FF.

Click on bookmark on top bar then bookmark this page:

Then a box will open up, click the drop down arrow next to folder and should see all the folders you have, click on the one you would like to add it to then ok

Also, you can click and drag the little icon to the left of the URL and after clicking (keep it pressed down) drag it to the bookmark test in top toolbar and it will drop down and you can drag it into any folder you like.

Firefox is nice but I'm in the process of migrating to Chrome. It'll be sweet once it has much better support by websites.

    You can add folders manually.
When you click on "Bookmarks " then "Bookmark this page" click on the arrow next to "Bookmarks Menu" there is an option there to add a new folder.
Or you could click on "Bookmarks" then "Organize bookmarks" and add your folders there.
I added folders named A-Z and then put sub-folders in them. So for C I have CD/DVD storage Car Forums Car Care Coffee etc.
I would also very strongly recommend backing up your favorites to somewhere other than your C drive. If that drive fails or you have to reinstall Windows for some reason your bookmarks are all gonna be gone. Click on
"Bookmarks" "Organize Bookmarks" At the top it says "Import and Backup" Click on that and select "Export HTML" and choose where you want to save the HTML file (I recommend a Thumb Drive). If you ever need to recover your bookmarks you do the same thing except you click on "Import HTML" choose where the HTML file is located load it and voila All your bookmarks restored exactly the same way you had them before.
Another suggestion : I know it's tedious but every time you add a new bookmark you should back them up. That way if something ever does happen you will have ALL of you bookmarks and you won't have spend all day scratching your head trying to remember the last few sites you bookmarked.
All this also helps if you share your computer with someone else. If they delete your bookmarks you an get them back right away.

I used to export/import my bookmarks but now I just use the Xmarks bookmark plugin for Firefox. Whenever any changes are made to your bookmarks, they are synced across all your computers that you use that have Xmarks installed.

What's nice about Chrome is that this feature is built-in and no plugin is required to download and install. :)

What do you guys use for downloading videos from Youtube or other sites? Up until recently, whenever I went to youtube I had the option to d/l videos if I wanted to. There were three or four d/l options that would appear. However with the recent install of youtube downloader 1.2.2 I can't seem be able to. Does anyone else have this same problem?
