Hey guys, first time poster here. after reading through the forums, i decided ill be getting a Power Finish, 85RD and uber pads. also ill be getting a Lusso Cleaner and Lusso Oro. So now here's my question since im all new to this. What are the steps should i follow? 1. What color pads to use with Power Finish? 2. What color pads to use with 85RD? and then apply the cleaner and then the lusso oro. I will be doin this on a White 2000 Acura Integra.
Well the simplest answer I can give you is this. Power finish with Orange and green Polishing pads 85rd with Blue Light finishing pads. Start with the least aggressive combination of 85rd on the blue or green before moving up to power finish.
So i should start off with 85rd and then move on to power finish? I thought 85RD was after power finish
Well yes. What I am saying is use 85rd first on your test panel and see what correction level is achieved. If you use 85rd with a Green Polishing pad it may achieve more correction than you think. The idea is not to guess what products to use, its to find out. Example... You have a car with some swirling, and the entire Menzerna line at your disposal. Technically you could use power gloss then power finish then 85rd and get a perfect finish. However you may have only needed to use 85rd to get the same finish. So start iwth the least agressive polish on your test panel, and see if it is your desired level of correciton. If its not then go with power finish and refine with 85rd when your done.
