To my BBM/Text buddies:

My phone appears dead. I did a battery pull tonight and it seems to not want to come back on.

I need to decide if I wanna get a new 9000, 9700, or *shudders* iPhone again.

9000 = $200 (might be $300, not sure)
9700 =$300
iPhone 3GS =$150

I LOVE my Bold 9000. The 9700 feels too small. And I had an iPhone for 5 months or so and hated it.


So if I don't respond for a bit, that's why!

 

hmmm i have the new 8520 Curve. Doesnt have 3G but i live it other wise got a sick flat black case from amazon and it matches my laptop and car lol. the new bold is also nice. i wouldnt get the iphone though :/ i wont have anyone to BBM if you do lol

It's showing signs of life! Just no OS.


... all I did last night was a battery pull. Hm. Oh well! Reloading OS off my trusty netbook and then going back to an old backup. Haha.

Had a chance do some datalogging in my car while I had the netbook too. A tiiiiny bit lean around 5500. And a weird tip-in issue I'll have to try to figure out.

And about the phones, I love my bold 9000. When I played with a bold 9700 it just felt too small in my hands.

 

Hmmm... well it's finally got an OS on it... I think

It shows the OS 5.0 (teehee might have to go back to 4.6) loading bar thing, but at around 65% or so it just stops and hangs. I'm gonna let it go for a few minutes before I get all kung-fu on it's ass.

Edit: While I was typing this it decided to mock me and make me look stupid by jumping to around 85%.

Edit Edit: While I was typing that last one it loaded to the OS. Woo!

 

Updating on my plight. I went to 5.0.0.464... I ran 5.0.0.238 before (I think)

I forgot that anything past .238 broke the ONLY theme I've found that I like. So we can't have that. Re-bricking my phone so I can downgrade to .238.

This is a fun day.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 with AT&T.

 

Get the Google Nexus One, it is only compatible with AT&T and some other networks. It can not be used with CDMA networks(Verizon, and Sprint). If it was available in CDMA I would be all over it.

 

No thanks. I love my blackberry. Plus, I can't leave my Blackberry Messenger brotherin hanging! Hell, it's the only way I talk to Luis anymore.

As said before, I'd be sticking with a Blackberry more than likely.

But I'm pretty sure I have mine fixed -- I just need to figure out what operating system version I was running before.

 

if you have to have the bb i would say the 9000 in black .

if you go to crackberry.com you can chipset any bb an update to any os you want.

 

That's what I have now. It's pretty much fixed and taken care of.

 

I love my BB as well. That Nexus One still looks phenomenal though

 

As soon as I get my contacts restored I'll post my PIN so you can add me. I hate the BBM restore from email function -- it takes forever!

 

Oh awesome, perhaps you can teach me how to get the most out of this thing.
