Hmm, maybe I should switch back to Ubuntu... they don't limit their users like Microsuck...

Any way you can link me or give me the names of all the exact products you used as far as paint and filler goes?

I am looking to learn how to do this myself.

Thanks mate! It's a Challenge car so it gets beat to sh1t on the track. Challenge Stradale = street version, Challenge = racetrack version :).

    See below :)

Guys, everything I used I bought at Tesco :D. The rims were cleaned, sanded down, cleaned again, sprayed with a filling primer, and then sprayed with a high-temp paint followed by a coat of clear about 10-15 minutes later. Here's the paint cans :) >>

The holes and scratches were filled in with Bondo (also bought from Tesco), then sanded down, painted, etc. The hardest part about the whole process (well in this case at least) was cleaning all the "track Parmesan" off the wheels... this stuff >>

It's not as hard as it looks, you've just got to go for it! There's about 50+ more of these rims that are beat to hell in the storage room and I've got a couple more in the works now... going matte black on one set!

I actually run both operating systems on the same tower. Just needs a few hard drives and some patience. Do you just work for Ferrari now?:giggle:

Yeah I was running a dual boot then I had to reinstall XP and lost Grub loader, didn't feel like putting it back, etc. Gotta do that again. No I don't work for Ferrari in the sense that I'm on their payroll, but I do all of their cars.

Hey OP, What grit sand paper did you use to sand the surface? and did you do it by hand or a machine?

    Thanks michakaveli!

I used 800-1,500 grit depending on how bad the surface was. Some of the deeper cuts could be wet-sanded out with 800-1000 and then finished up with 1,500. It was all done by "handz" :). I tried to use a Dremmel on some spots but it was too jumpy for the job.
