So, aside from keeping my car looking good — it also has a little bit of cajones as well. I took the car to Blow By Racing tonight and had my good friend Kevin MacDonald of DiabloSport load the car up onto the dyno. It had been previously dyno'd with just light modifications (Intake, Pulleys, Exhaust) and made 316 HP / 324 TQ @ the wheels. Tonight, I stepped it up with the Nitrous system Here are the results.... 441.75 RWHP / 564.34 RWTQ Heres a little video of the pull YouTube - 2008 Mustang GT on BBR Dyno
Thats a nice HP rating with the little mods that you've done. You must have had it programmed to your car and not the canned tunes. Very impressive. What kinda N20 kit did you get??
Holy Shit man!! Nitrous for the win with a capital W. It sounds incredible, absolutely incredible!! (And hte #'s show it too..wow)
Wilson Pro Flow Wet Kit. We could've made more power but we're being "safe" (as safe as Nitrous can be I guess). Conservative timing and Air/Fuel ratio. Def more in it but on the stock bottom end I'd rather not risk it.
I will admit that nitrous is not my preferred power adder, there is no denying those dyno results! I'm sure that thing is an animal on the road now.
Holly Crap! How big of a shot? You managed to gain 236 ft lbs. of trq from a Nitrous Kit? That's pretty sick even though i'm not a huge fan of Nitrous. You should Turbo that bad boy.
Nice numbers! What did the dyno tune set you back (if you dont' mind me asking, that is)? I'm thinking about getting rid of my "custom" tune in my Lincoln LS for a dyno tune. My "custom" tune was done all through emails. I'm thinking I can get more out of having the tuner actually have the car on the dyno.
