    luke093 Welcome to Detailing

Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner, 1 Gallon (should I go for APC+ for $4 more? I dont have an extractor)
    Meguiars Hyper Dressing
Meguiars Last Touch Spray Detailer (I've heard is good, and has good lubricity to prevent swirls)
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 Ultra-Cut Compound (These twins are great products no? Can I go wrong?)
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finishing Polish
Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax 15 oz. (should I get 845 insulator wax instead? looking for something that can go on any surface)
Menzerna Polish PO85RD (heard this is amazing for the last step polish, but I have a PCXP so will I benefit enough?)
Cobra Shamrock 750 Microfiber Towels 6 Pack (Just for kicks :p)
Meguiar’s Shampoo Plus, 1 Gallon ($12.50 and I heard its great for maintaining a good finish due to its high lubricity)
    Klasse ALL-IN-ONE Polish 10 oz. (should I get this as a pre-wax product or should I get a pre-wax cleanser like P21S?)
Brinkmann Maxfire Dual Xenon Rechargeable Spotlight
    The Grit Guard Insert x2
3 Pack Cobra Microfiber Applicator Pads (BOGO)
Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish (under $5 can I get anything better?)
    Gallon Dispensing Pump (BOGO)

    as well as:

    4x WW towels from ShowroomFX
2x orange, 2x grey, 2x white LC Flat pads I already have HD Car care orange & blue (2 of each))

Just looking to try some products and need to make some essential purchases- although I do have some nice products. I just want products that will last for a long period of time and the Megs gallons are CRAZY cost effective.

So in the summer/spring? this is my plan:
    1.wash (Shampoo Plus)
2.Clay (I have mothers clay but when eShine does the Ricardo Bogo im stacking up) Water & car soap solution as lube)
    3. Quick detailer or Wash?
    4. M105 with orange pad- 10 year old CRV paint has some swirls and some scratches
    5. M205 with white pad
    6. PO85RD with blue HDC pad or Black LC pad
    7. Klasse AIO or Crystal Glo (on hand)
    8. FK1000P or 845 insulator wax
    9. ??? Vics mayhem or chaos, Lusso Oro, HD Poxy, or S100 (The paint is black)
    10!!!! DG AW

Seriously looking to perfect the paint and keep it that way. Then yearly I will just do the M205 & 85RD combo. And of course waxing by-weekly- S100, Poxy and the 2010 Vics are all too easy! Haven't used Lusso as its in the states- im in Canada. Looking to import all these products (sorry Canada!)

some nice stuff. get the megs hyperwash. that creates some nice suds.
    polish choices seem pretty decent.

if you want lusso, talk to phil at detailersdomain. he'll ship to canada im sure.

I actaully have lusso its just that when I traded Junebug I asked him to ship to family to save costs and the fact that I can wait as im going there soon :p I heard hyperwash is good but has so-so lubricity. Personally I could care less for suds, although they are nice I want something relatively gentle and slick. I have 2 chenile wash mitts and I think they are great, but some say they arent too good at preventing swirls, and considering that 50% of people use Sheepskin here and others use those long nap microfiber mitts from Megs etc. I believe it for some reason... I like them because they seem to glide on the paintwork and get into crevices easier, is there any reason they arent that popular here?

not sure why some mitts arent popular. i use the sponges from detailersdomain myself.

those showroom fx drying towels are the bomb though :D

DON'T GET SHAMPOO PLUS!!!!! Total failure... get DG 901

Total failure? You sure!!?? What the dillution rating for 901? can I get by with 0.5oz per gallon?

I don't remember off the top of my head, but yes I got a gallon of it and hate it!! Suds suck, lube is horrible

First thing is APC is plenty good with or without an extractor, no need for the plus. Second is drop Megs 205 and get Menz Powerfinish and Menz 85rd. I stopped using last touch for lube as you can use Optimum no rinse at insane dilutions for a good clay lube. I know Dave (dsms) has some threads where he mentions his ONR dilution. For a great wax at a price point my choices would be either RG 42, Zymol Glasur, or Swissvax Onyx. Thats my opinion based on putting in big orders and NEVER using certain products(gallon sizes) because they just did not work for me. I further the shampoo plus being terrible. I would go for CG Citrus wash and gloss, or Duragloss 902( its 901 in a gallon size and I used it 2 oz to 4 gallons)
I am not sure why you want to import products and get killed on shipping. A lot of the stuff you can find at Autowerkes, or Eshine. I just noticed a pretty big whole in your line up though, you need some brushes like the RG brush set from ken, and the daytona wheel brush. You also need some wheel cleaner. I am honestly not going to recommend one to you personally I need to find one myself. Megs Wheel Brightner works great but its just very strong, and not safe on all finishes( It states this on the bottle )

    Meguiars Last Touch Spray Detailer
have it, love it, great for claying and QD

Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 and #205 together, consider menz 203 as well, if i was you id get 105, menz 203 and 85rd

i have col 845 and love it, great durability and looks, cant go wrong with this wax, a lot of ppl on this forum love it, maybe get collonite 915 instead of s100? 845 and 915 will offer great durability, id recommend black fire wet dimond for summer as sealant,

for wash, get either DG901, CG maxi suds, also get CG citrus wash for purpose to strip any lsp or wax thats currently on car before correction

1.wash (CG citrus to strip protection)
2.Clay (I have mothers clay but when eShine does the Ricardo Bogo im stacking up) last touch as lube(can be diluted)
    3. Wash again
    4. M105 with orange pad- 10 year old CRV paint has some swirls and some scratches
    5. M205 with green or white pad
    6. PO85RD with blue HDC pad or Black LC pad
    7. p21s paint cleanser
    8. sealant (wet dimond for summer, 845 for winter)
    9. wait 24 hours or so to let sealant cure
    10. wax ??? Vics mayhem or chaos, Lusso Oro, HD Poxy, or S100 (The paint is black), consider collonite 915
    11. wash again probably dry the car,

maybe get mr clean zero dry wash thing, since its only gona be used for yourself it should last you long time, this is so you dont need to dry the car and possibility of causing scratches

12, now this is VERY IMPORTANT, post pics!!!

Get Collinite 915 for black. I can't stress this enough.

    luke093 Welcome to Detailing

Ohh guys sorry for being so bad at wording things but these arent the only things I have, as for brushes :p I just got the XL and the 28mm RG ones from ken as well as Chaos and Mayhem. I have Lusso Oro waiting for me in the states, and I have S100, HD poxy too. And I'll get a wheel cleaner (Autoglym) when it comes to walmart near me.

As for the Last Touch I'm mainly getting it and using it as a QD and not a lube. As for the wash I'll see if I can get 902 at a carquest near me. So FK1000P isnt a good base for all the stuff I will use? The fact that it cures almost instantly helps. To be honest I have enough LSPs that are waxes, just looking for a durable base.

The Menz 203, $45!!! Yikes, but I guess it may be worth almost 2x the price.

As for getting it in the states, it will save me a ton of money since I dont see eShine nor Ken carry gallons and I got family I visit so I can just sneak it back ;) (sshhh)

So I guess I'm taking Shampoo Plus off, and I'll maybe get #845 since I can give one to my uncle. Can you layer 845 with other waxes... And is it a sealant or a wax?

203 is kinda between 105 and 205 from what i read, it is diminishing polish unlike 105. so 203 will finish up a lot better then 105. yeah its pricy but if you get it on sale it will be around $40 per 32oz, 105 is $30

845 is hybryd. thats why its called sealing wax, very durable as well, very easy to use, goes on and off very easy, i love this thing
i didnt hear any problems of layering it. you just have to let it cure for like 24 hours i think but never seen problem of layering it after couple hours, maybe depends on outside temp on how quickly chemical can evaporate

The Revised List: (Thanks for the help! I would have regret buying a few of these products. As for a pre-wax cleanser F it, I think I'll just use Crystal Glo-acrylic based cleaner like klasse. Ill do a review of this soon :)
    Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner
    Meguiars Hyper Dressing
    Meguiars Last Touch Spray Detailer
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 Ultra-Cut Compound
    Menzerna Polish PO85RD
Cobra Shamrock 750 Microfiber Towels 6 Pack
Add the Brinkmann Maxfire Dual Xenon
The Grit Guard Insert - Black
3 Pack Cobra Microfiber Applicator Pads
    Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish
    Gallon Dispensing Pump
    Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845
Menzerna Power Finish PO 203 32 oz.

And the WW towel and pads stay the same. If anyone has any insight on Hyper Dressing and the mothers chrome polish, it would be appriciated.

Again thx for the help! The DB community is much more friendlier than *Cough* Autopi...*Cough*

I would drop hyper dressing. Megs All Season dressing is good for wheel wells and not to much more. I would go with 303 Aerospace if I were you. Another opinion of mine is to get the TK11 flash light over the Brinkmann( detailers domain carries both for comparison). Metal polishes are another broad range. I personally use P21s polishing soap on polished and well maintained non coated metals, and Megs NXT metal polish on non coated worn metals. Chrome itself I prefer to use Race Glass chrome and glass polish, you can use Menz 85rd as well

I actually like what I see from HD, and it will 95% of the time be used on the exterior- wells, bumpers, and other plastic areas, and maybe on the inside in certain parts, but I have M40 for the dash and important areas. As for the light, I have good lighting in my garage- no ideal but 6 bulbs non the less, and just wanted something hand held to inspect and again I looked into that one but cost is the issue here, I would rather not spend over $30. I think ill stay with the mothers, $5 I cant go wrong, worst case is that its not the best but I dont need the best in metal polish.

Again maybe I'm being a bit stupid but I seriously have a budget so I'd rather not cross it.

P21s polishing soap is about $7, and it will last you forever. Megs NXT if you are ordering tons of megs gallons seems a good choice. I can understand a budget, and best of luck with all of the options out there:thumb:
