Got another paint correction on a Mustang coming up next weekend, this will be my 2nd one :) Excited.

Needless to say, I'm almost out of the XMT Swirl Remover #3 and I'm completely out of Sealant!

So I've got a short shopping list based on feedback from you guys. Few other items I'm up in the air about though so if you guys could give me a few suggestions I'd appreciate it immensely.

As always, thanks for helping a noob like me out.

    1. Polish - Menzerna Super Intensive Polish
    2. Extra Pads (Orange, White, Grey)
    3. Sealant - Wolfgang Paint Sealant 3.0
    4. einzett cockpit interior cleaner
    5. Glaze - not sure what to go with, I've got 1/2 a bottle of the XMT Glaze left.

Ideally, I'd like to order everything from one site, all at once to save on shipping. Any ideas/suggestions?

You will need another polish if you are going to use SIP. I would go with Power Finish as it has a cut very close to SIP but finishes a lot better.

Pads, sealant, and 1z cockpit looks good.

Glaze, you dont really need a glaze if you are going to be doing paint correction. But if you really do want to use a glaze make sure it works with sealants and I dont think XMT glaze does. I would go with WG Paint Enhancer (or what ever the name of the paint cleaner for WG paint sealant is which has glaze in it but will work with sealants.

That is if you are going to be getting it from AG

I know Ken could hook you up with a pretty good kit with polish, pads and sealant. Maybe he will see this and chime in.

Get Menzerna P085RD and you will never, ever, ever want to finish down with any other polish again. Drop the Wolfgang sealant and order the Blackfire stuff some very trustworthy people have told me its a great product. Drop the glaze and get something more use full, like an extra dozen microfibers. I used to be obsessed with having to have a glaze when I first started. I still have it to this day and its not even been opened. Ken carries Menz, and Blackfire by the way.

    TY :D

So correct me if I'm wrong here...

Menzerna P085RD for Swirl Removal/Polish. Ditch the glaze completely. A Sealant and then a LSP. Correct?

I agree with the above posters. Get power finish, your pads are good, for a sealant I would use Duragloss 601/105 combo...unbeatable protection and great looks and very reasonable pricing. I've got glaze bottles so old they're collecting dust. You do not need it if the paint is done right. Invest in some good mf towels too. Use your newbie discount with Ken. He sells all the above products I mentioned. You can also buy directly from Duragloss.com and they have a flat $5. shipping to the US. Their 901 soap is great as is most of their products. I am a heavy user of them because they're cheap (like me) and work very well. You can buy their products by the gallon too if you start getting into this hot and heavy.

SIP or IP then 85RD after to give the sharpest finish possible. IPA wipedown, then Sealant. Unfortunately you don't want to just order 1 polish. You may order SIP, but then only need IP then your finishing polish. I would suggest that if you are light on funds you order 16oz bottles and get at the very least Super IP, IP, and 85rd. Start with 85 rd, if its not fully correcting use the Ip, if thats not fully correcting, use the SIP....
