Hi guys, One questions for you. Do you know Bud Abraham (Executive Director, INTERNATIONAL DETAILING ASSOCIATION)? Did you hear about it? If you hear about it, what do you think about his detailing techniques and methods? Thanks!
I've seen him on some other (Romanian?) detailing forum, if my memory serves me right he was requesting people join his questionable association for a fee. Sounds like a scam to me. Other than that, never heard of him or his so called association.
I saw that website. But, he told that he is detailing business for 40 years and speak about detailing chemicals, etc. I had not heard about it until 2 weeks ago. And I thought that I will clear my mind if I will ask DB members. Maybe a DB Pro will know something about it. If not, no problem.
When I read the title to this thread I just knew it would be a good one....:cig: I'm still waiting on the punch line :chips: I should've started this association years ago :duh:
Here is a more recent post about his "association". prediction - your detail business will not survive in the long run ! - Autopia.org

doesn't look like you do do you... lol... Like I always said I'm here for you guys.... I've been reading about Bud since I was about 15 or so....and yup there is a completely different side of automotive car care that most don't know about ; )
i personally never met him so I don't know I can tell you that detail plus has been around for awhile and Bud has been published in many industry magazines. I just think the detailing association was not really a good move.
Phil, did you read any of Bud's detailing articles? If yes, do you like it, do you agree with his detailing methods? I just want to make a think about him.

So after clicking that link, then a couple others, I got to autodetailingnetworkforums dot com. I did some peeking around, saw pics o fsome of the guys' setups, and I saw some decent stuff (meg's, optimum, metabo, etc.) so I was going to join. Then I saw renny doyle was a moderator.
pektel, if you want to grow as a detailer you should overlook the fact that someone you may not agree with is on there. I know there are a lot of valuable topics on that forum.
i can get all i need and more from db, thanks. It's not that someone i don't agree with is simply "on there". He's a mod. I have read some negative things about him on more than one forum. I would rather just not join and avoid drama.
