Who uses 56K anymore anyway?!?! Shot with a Nikon D80, 18-135mm lens. Not too much post work in Photoshop. Hope you like!
very nice shots man. I'm into photography as well. Were any of these Post Processed or slight HDR? What camera and lens were you using? I got a Nikon D60 here only the kit lens for now though
hehe sorry i didn't read and realize you are as well using a Nikon camera but a D80. Was looking at the page on my phone earlier and must have missed that. I see you bumped the ISO up in a couple pics but man they turned out rather crisp Wouldn't mind seeing if you had any advice as far as taking shots like that.
Great shots! I'm still learning the ropes with photography in general. There are no classes for me to take around here, so it's all internet info for me. I'm getting the hang of it though.
photography is great . . . . for the most most part once you have a camera taking pictures is free so it's a great hobby. I'm guessing that a lot of the work was done by altering the curves setting on photoshop. I could be wrong but that is one way to start defining things like the dark areas, mid tones and highlights.
Wow, nice work ! That moody sky in your first pic reminds me somewhat of the photographic style of Tim Wallace (Ambient Life) Ambient Life Photography: Commercial Advertising Car Photographer Tim Wallace So, you are in very good company! :thumb:
just looked at the Tim Wallace site and he looks like he does some HDR photo's. You can get moody sky's that way as well.
Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. In terms of the post work, I mostly hit up curves/levels, mess with saturation. I also use the Dodge & Burn tools a lot. That plus my other techniques is how I get this effect. The first shot was actually lightly tone mapped with an HDRI program.
Nice shots. Any tips on photographing cars? I think the thing I have the most problems with is capturing swirls.
