I was in my local Advance Auto Parts store tonight and snapped a couple of pics of their wash mitts. These are by far the nicest OTC mitts that I've come across. Seems like a good deal.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but these are nice, plush mitts.

As I was walking around the store I came across some items in the clearance section.
Has anyone tried any of these products? How well do they perform? Should I jump on these deals?

These are their new drying towels. The drying towel is pretty small IMO, but feels soft.

Hi, Thanks for the heads up...I have a Advanced Auto Parts not to far from me. What I found out was if the price ends .95 that is a clearance price unlike .99 isn't. What else I found out is It could be that one store or it could be many stores. You just have to try your luck and see how you make out. There was a post not to long ago about mother's clay pkg. That was like 3.99 or some amazing price. I ran down to my AAP and found that it was on clearance but at 14.95 instead of 17.95 or what ever the price was. it's always good to take the chance and make the trip to find out how lucky you're going to be that day...:thumb:

    Thanks Again...:thumb:

I bought a few of these "drying" towels which are 16x24 in size, so rather small. They are much better for quick detailing and they are very soft with a nice microfiber edge. At $6 each and a $10 off $25 coupon, it works out to 4 of these towels for $15, or less then $4 each. Not a bad deal.

You should also check out your local Pep Boys. As far as MF towels go, they seems to be brining in better quality towels and a wider range of towels at lower prices. Not sure how well they will last and quality, just for looking it seems great, but time tested? Who knows.

Those are the ONLY style wash mits I use. They are durable, wont fall apart, the dirt seems to not stick to the fibers, and being micro fiber> they are very soft. Thumbs up for the mits!

The 10-packs of blue and white Pep Boys MFs are really pretty nice... especially for around 10 bucks or so. They frequently have 'em available with 2 or 3 extras in the "10" pack. I bought 'em expecting to use them for utility towels but was pleasantly surprised by their softness. I've used them on the paint with no adverse effects and the've held up OK after numerous washings. I keep an eye on them with intent to demote them to utility use at the first signs of deterioration but so far, so good. YMMV.

Advance Auto Parts always has deals going on. The best advice is to google $10 off $25 or more. I've used a truck load of those coupons. Load up with $25 worth of stuff, comes out to $15 plus tax. It feels like getting stuff free, rather then discounted.

Nevertheless, the towels as seen in the OP, I have used a few times now and have gone back for more. They are ultra soft, the microfiber edge does not scratch the paint and as good, if not better then some towels I've gotten at online retailers (who will remain nameless).

UPDATE: So I am returning like a half dozen or so of those blue towels with the black border. I washed them once and they fell apart at the seams, literally.
