Just wash your hands and then go at it, Carlos had a video of him applying wax by hand in the video section.

ya its not hard to do the worst part about it is after trying to wash the wax off your hands, wax repells water and it doesnt want to come off

What are you trying to achieve by bare hand waxing?

european hand wax is by far superior to american pad application. it also sounds way kewl for marketing purposes

j/k i have always wanted to do this but it seems you apply way too much wax for my comfort and i hate wasting stuff. maybe one day

I love applying wax by hand. It does use more than applying by applicator but its just cool. There's no real advantage to it.

Just wash your hands, and if you happen to pick up some dirt while you are applying wax, wash you hand and simply continue

what i found out ,by doing with hand ,you actually know when to add more wax and less in the tight spot. and your hand will feel like a girl hand someday (if you do 5 cars a dayX 5 days a week

I have notice some of the Nuba wax (SV Concorso, mystery ), it is better with bare hand ,coz the wax is quite hard, and the heat from your palm actaully melt the wax better for apply than a pad.

    Try it out

Hehe, are you prepping for the Titanium I'm selling to you? Its a lot of fun. Even if some people don't say it does anything and is hype, its quite relaxing. I get a satisfaction from hand application that I don't get from using an applicator. I still do it with Z Cream, Z Glasur, and RBOE :)

You guys must have some soft hands, I tried doing it by hand and instilled scratchs in the paint.

I've been told that my hands are nice, softish, warm, and a pleasure to hold from my ex's :giggle:

The outside knuckle area is different as I got in quite a few fights playing in HS soccer :catfight:

for some waxes you do need to do it by hand like royale, Paul applied it by hand, he does CR with applicator so there is reason for it.

Applying wax by hand is so much fun, I get a kick when applying wax by hand...it's just down right fun :woo: :woo: but that's just me.

Also, there kinda is a trick to applying by hand, I mean if you don't do it right you'll induce micro marring to the vehicle. I did that a couple of times when I first started applying wax by hand, after a few vehicles I got the hang of it. Having said that I personally use way too much wax when applying wax by hand, but I do it on purpose   just love how the wax feels in my hands that and I love to man handle the vehicles, that's how you truly get to know a vehicle :giggle:

I don't buy into that.... I know, I know Zymol says so but I just don't buy it

Just because PD does something that doesn't mean that there is a scientific reason for it - maybe he just wanted to mix it up and do it differently that day...

Well it really depends on the person an on which glaze or wax your using as they do have different ways to apply an a different setting times before removal. an don't forget the nuba uses the warmth of your hand to activate it an this does make a big difference. i won't go into an all out write up i hate typing but here is some ideas as i hear you getting the titanium. i use tight rubber gloves cause no matter how nice you wash your hands you can still getting scratches plus a hell of alot easier to clean up lol.

Put a very small amount of Zymol Titanium Estate Glaze into the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands by rubbing them together, to melt the carnauba. With your hands, gently apply the melted glaze in a light even pattern over a 2 by 2 foot area letting the glaze stand for 60 to 90 seconds.
Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a micro-fiber towel to a brilliant luster before wax is totally dry.
Buff lightly once more approximately 3 to 4 hours later to a perfect shine.

now here is how you do vintage very similar but different

Put a very small amount of Zymol Vintage Glaze into the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands by rubbing them together, to melt the carnauba. With your hands, gently apply the melted glaze in a light even pattern over a 2 by 2 foot area letting the glaze stand for up to 5 minutes.
Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a micro-fiber towel to a brilliant luster before wax is totally dry.
Buff lightly once more approximately 3 to 4 hours later to a perfect shine.

    an here is royale

Put a very small amount of Zymol Royale Glaze into the palm of your hand. Use the warmth of your hands by rubbing them together, to melt the carnauba. With your hands, gently apply the melted glaze in a light even pattern over a 2 by 2 foot area letting the glaze stand for up to 10 minutes.
Using moderate to heavy pressure, wipe very slowly with a micro-fiber towel to a brilliant luster before wax is totally dry.
Buff lightly once more approximately 3 to 4 hours later to a perfect shine.

now some do it different only let stand 30 sec. some let it sit 10 min. everyone has a different way just have to find your stroke as some also say side to side or up an down you can go any direction you want to just make sure you got good even coverage enjoy have fun lol.
