i have a bottle of meguiars gold class liquid wax and a bottle of meguiars liquid NXT tech wax 2.0. Between these two waxes, which do you think is the best? (all opinions welcome) My car is a black mkv rabbit if that makes a difference at all.

It really depends. On a black car, if you want the best deep wet look and dont mind waxing often then go with gold class. If you want good looks with better durability then nxt 2.0. Looks wise gold class > nxt 2.0. Durability wise nxt 2.0> gold class.
as far as i heard tech wax 2.0 is not realy a wax. its more of cleaner polish/glaze/wax, pretty much all in one. i have both and used it long time ago. i like spray wax better, water runs off very easily when applied on side of the car. but ill probably gona get rid of both
haha, i wish. I just have so much of the stuff lying around. I am kinda looking forward to using the 2.0 though
I have a bottle of NXT 2.0 laying around with no use to it...I have too many products that are way better (IMO) that I'd rather use...
NXT 2.0 is a pure sealant. Gold class is a combination of a glaze and wax. The glaze component in Gold Class (referred to as "polish" by Meguiars) gives it an edge in looks on flat finishes but causes it to fail sooner than NXT. NXT looks better on high-gloss metallic finishes because it doesn't leave the paint looking "dressed". It simply protects the inherent lustre of such paint finishes and boosts reflections by flattening out the surface. Gold Class's glazing oils mute metallic finishes. Gold Class has been updated for 2010. Keep an eye out for the updated version.
Never had it stain trim (although I have seen this said by others as well). I think NXT removes easier than Gold Class.
so if i were to layer the two, which should i put on top and which on the bottom? i might just try it to see what i looks like
If you decided to layer the two, you should apply NXT first, followed by GC. I just got myself a tin of the "New & Improved" formulation of Gold Class Carnauba Plus. The new product promises a better look, as well as improved durability. I'm planning on doing a durability test of this new product soon. At the moment I've only tried it on a dark blue metallic hood. My first impression of this product is that it's definitely a huge improvement from the previous formulation. I think one of the biggest drawbacks, and customer complaints of the old was the durability. Most user's I've spoken to usually cite that the wax simply did not last very long. I'll report back as soon as I get around to further testing.
