I took my daughter to an art class at the Art Gallery of Windsor today and had brought my camera to take some shots of her. I shot these of the Detroit Skyline as well and thought I'd share. They were shot from indoors on the third floor.

There is a lot of beauty to this area especially with the water. After seeing the 'ruins of detroit' shots, I kinda wanted to put some other perspective out there.

Well, there's frickin Fido calling Benji old!!!! You're not doing so bad with your shots either you old mutt...:picture:

I remember going up to the top in the 80's and seeing the view..pretty spectacular.

Yes I have thanks..I was wishing I had it with me today. I have one polarizing filter for the other lens but it is not on...should I be using it? Would it have helped these shots?

Thanks a lot. I was lucky with the bright sunny day!

    My pleasure.

Great Pics Richy! I can't say I miss working there especialy this time of year. I do miss goint down to Greektown for dinner then taking the people mover to a Red Wings game. I remember times when the Detroit River would completely freeze over.

What city do you live in Jason? I use to live on an island (Groose Ile) about 30 miles south of Detroit. I could see Canada from my house.

I'm about 8 miles from the silver dome. i dont' think he is out by me.

i think down town / river front always looks best with a frozen / icey river.

I'm about 15 miles east of the silverdome... Silverdome is the closest nationally semi-known landmark to me...
