hi there, havent been posting here for quite some time but as i am back into detailing now i thought i should show you some impressions of a very unique car which i had the pleasure to take care of for 3 days in a row this is a brand new mini and its very limited to a total of only 500 units worldwide. the mini john cooper works wc50 worldchampionchip! the car had about 50 miles on the clock and only the transport wax was removed before i started working on it. it was an absolute nightmare full of swirl marks, scratches and it took over 14 hours of paintwork correction to achieve a great finish! i shot round about an hour of video material in these 3 days and uploaded 5 clips onto my youtube account. here is the result : YouTube- MINI JCW WC50 detailed - Day 3 - final shot wish you all a happy and great new year! alex
they did you favor of washing it lol. i like how you did video of final look of lights coming on one by one
Did you actually reuse the clay bar on the car after you dropped it on the ground in this video??? MINI JCW WC50 detailed - Day 1 / Part 1
sure - why not? cleaned it, turned it "insideout" (which is not shown in the clip), warmed it and off you go.
I really do not want to offend you, but whats with the hologramming still under the badge on the fender in your after part of video 3 (1min 27sec)
I don't think that they were finished working on that part of the car. The only reason I say that is because at the end, when he's doing the walk around and comes back to that same area, it looks great. I get the impression that they were trying to capture the correction that they had made to the door, not the fender.
I've seen this topics discussed on other boards. If I remember correctly, some of the well respected members said that they also will pick up the clay and use it, only if it's not badly contaminated. Obviously, if it has gravel, leaves, things of that nature, they're going to chuck it. But if it fell on a relatively "clean" floor then it shouldn't matter that much. Just my two pesos.
