Going to visit my Sister in Claremont soon just wondering if anyone is close by.. Whats good to do, eat, see and more importantly can anyone help me find a really good hotel. we have 2 small kids so need to be child friendly!!! never know might get a detailing meet when Im over.. :thumb:
I live in Rancho Cucamonga which is maybe 15-20 minutes away. As for food, Downtown Claremont has some killer places to eat Stuffed Crust Pizza - has some of the best pizza you'll ever eat Heros - Great pub with family friendly atmosphere, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, pasta, etc. HUGE beers and free peanuts on the table. Theres also places like Viva Madrid, La Picoletta, and dozens of other little cafes that have everything from diner style food to greek. Shopping is pretty varied in Claremont, if you want more of a traditional "MALL" expericence you'll be VERY close to Montclair Plaza (kind of old, but being remodeled) Take a shot out the 10 freeway eastbound and you'll hit Ontario Mills (Huge indoor mall, lots of outlets) in just a few miles, or travel a little further towards my neck of the woods and hit Victoria Gardens. Beautiful outdoor mall, tons of food and shopping... more high end stores and expensive resturants than the other malls, but the atmosphere is decidedly nicer IMO. http://www.victoriagardensie.com/ http://www.simon.com/Mall/MallDirectory.aspx?ID=1258 http://www.montclairplaza.com/ You're maybe 45 minutes door to door from Disneyland, the beach, the mountains, everything so there should be no shortage of things to do. Spend some time just walking around Downtown Claremont for sure... the college campus' are beautiful. My wife and I regularly take our son to walk around there and I bring the camera.... its a relaxing way to spend a few hours.
I used to live near Claremont, Colton to be exact. A really good place area to go to which is about fifteen minutes east is probably Ontario. There are quite a few restaurants there near the mall.
nice one really cant wait doing the Disney thing and may take a trip to Vegas and get remarried by Elvis!! you never know what may happen!!:kilt:
Gotta do Disneyland if you're coming over with kids. How about knotts berry farm also. Take the coastal road down to san diego and visit seaworld. Have fun:thumb:
