who is slimmingtheir collection down? I spent most of this year using up chemicals in order to slim down redundant chemicals. ( i also plan on slimming myself down in 2010) i may go against the grain here but I actually am trying to make my collection smaller.
I'm slimming down everything, trying to get just one or two detail sprays, waxes and sealants, etc. I recently sold my RBOE since I rarely choose it over Collinite 915.
I bought a lot of stuff this year. I am trying to scale it down. I am pretty much stocked up for the next 5-10 years.
I started scaling down last year, hardly find myself buying new products to test already. For the most part i've found what I like.
Hmm well with all you guys trying to slim down it seems like mine will be growing once you guys put stuff up for sale. Some things, i.e. wax's i have plenty of but looking at some more clay and little things.
Last week I consolidated everything and am using only what I works best for me, no more shelves full of LSP's and leather stuff.
I have a cart crammed full of sample bottles that'll take me years to get through. Other than that, my daily use cleaners haven't changed in 17 years other than trying different soaps or tire dressings. Keep it simple.
I'll try to get rid of the waxes, polishes and other products I don't use anymore. I have too many products at the moment, so a detailing diet is coming up. I'll try selling my M80/83, some of my old backing plates, megs endurance gel(Pneu is all I use nowadays). I have quite a bit of CG shampoos, dressings and such to get rid off too.. Kind regards, Ebbe
I'm trying to get rid of all my OTC products I've collected over time. Once I clear my OTC collection, I'll probably start buying better products and restock another small collection. This forum is a bad influence on lunch money. :shakehead: :rollinglaugh:
Not me!! I'm still trying out new products as quick as I can afford them... I haven't found what I like yet and haven't nailed down my methods yet...
I really have scaled it down to the products I like, the ones that work for me. That was my plan all along, if you look at my posts. I bought pretty much everything to find what I like and now that I have it, I'm pretty content.
I was surprised your car didn't collapse under the weight of all your spray bottles and liquids last time I was at your shop!
I have been doing the same thing myself, haven't really bought new stuff in a while. I have so much product I could detail all year and not have to worry.
I'm slimming down as well. Getting rid of some practically new tubs of waxes, new mf towels, air fresheners etc etc. Just sticking to a few products now... I still need to try jeffwerkstat though
I just sold 4 of my 10 waxes in my collection. I've traded up to only keeping special edition waxes besides the couple I know I will keep for a long time
+1 I try to only keep my most valued products these days. I don't really have room for products that are "pretty good" anymore.
im on the same boat ... hehe ... I like all my collection now ... i will buy new stuff as long as $$$ available :applause2:
