Anyone used Opti-Bond Tire Gel? I have not seen much discussion.

I use it exclusively on my stuff and customer rides. Clean tires thoroughly with an APC - let dry - then apply. No sling and you can control the finish by either applying 2 coats or diluting it a bit. Even if applying 2 coats, a little goes along way.
Hopefully Obsessive Detail will jump in here with more info.

i use it as well, nice deep shine, I dilute it one to one and spray it on. wipe it to cover the area. Then I apply it straight up with an applicator. As noted before the tires need to be very clean so that it can BOND to the rubber.

I agree. I tried it straight and it sucked ass to say the least, only because most tires these days have those little ribs and its a bitch to get it in there so they look even. I diluted it down 1:1 and it works way better. Looks ok when it goes on, looks even better the next day.

I use Opti Bond quite a bit. I can dilute it down anywhere from 3:1 and 1:1 and it still works great. This has been the longest lasting tire dressing that I've used. I like the nice factory finish it leaves, it isn't too glossy and it dries to the touch.

I didnt like it very much, left tires a little shiney for my taste.

tried for the first time, yeah I agree with the rest this product must be diluted 1:1 or 1:3 otherwise
it does not work no matter how much more you apply. you wont be satisfied with a straight up application.

Been working away on my gallon... really like it.... I would also like to try the tropicare and Pneu... but so far optibond has been my favorite by far.

I also only have used it undiluted.... I apply it thick with an uber blue applicator and I wipe down the tire afterward with an MF, helps matten it more and eliminates the standing product in the little grooves and letters.

Do we've got that it's quite good, but how long is that exactly? 3 weeks? A month? I usually get around 2ish with Meg's Endurance.

It's OK, but nothing to write home about. I don't like gels for tires, too much work. I stick with Tropicare, Pneu or Zaino.

Z16 is sitting on my shelf collecting dust.

I used Z-16 for a long time. Loved it, just didn't get more than a week to 10 days with it.

I tried Opti-bond this summer diluted 1:2 and applied with an HVLP gun. I'm very pleased.

Shines a bit more than Z-16, and lasts a bit longer. Maybe 2 weeks.

I don't drive more than 5,000 miles per year in any of my cars, and I haven't seen any water based tire product last long.

OPT makes Tire Shine which I have. I haven't used Opti-Bond but I do use the Tire Shine. It seems similar to other water-based dressings but leaves a satin-type finish.
