So your wife wants to know what to get you for Christmas and you tell her you want a steamer. Here's a way to convince her that you can use it for the house too and not just on cars. Here are some pics of my 10 year old grout and how the steamer cleaned it up. Simple physics really..the gravity pulls the crap down into the porous grout and makes it look yucky. The steam lifts it up and as a bonus kills any nasty bacteria and everything else while it's at it. My unit the Gaia is also a vacuum (and an extractor) but the vacuum allows you to immediately suck up the dirty water that comes out. There are a few 50/50 shots as well as one showing what comes out of the grout. I just love my steamer. When I first started doing the grout, I had no idea it had sparkles in it...it sure sparkles now! That small area (3'X5') took about 15 minutes to do. I love using the steamer to clean grout. During the slower winter months, I do a lot of grout cleaning jobs!
Wow those porous were really clean up ... well done richy ... its very good idea how to convince her though ... but she will ask you to demo n prove for her ... in other words, we need to clean the entire house later ... need to think twice lol guys ... hahaha
That is awesome! My biggest justification is that I really haven't used any cleaner products on interiors anymore, spend roughly $1 in distilled water per car...
i see one you got is like $700 for ppl who dont have that kinda money to spend would this be fine? i know GDAL has similar one Vacuum Cleaners, Vacuum - Auto Care ProHeat(R) i think i found what to ask for xmas
Oh man...if you saw the area I still had to do....whew. I just went ahead and bought mine....she didn't know. She loved what it did in the house though. When it's too cold to detail, my OCD has an outlet, LOL. Justin..good for you man. Great way to take advantage of down time. I'm sure the word of mouth will spead for the grout like it does for detailing. Bills come in the winter too! As I said above, it's an outlet for your OCD cleaning needs. Misha..looks like a good little unit although not a steamer. There's tons of them on ebay.
ok. i guess this is just without vacume. i seen somebody in UK on this forum used it on seats and wiped it with MF towel right after. Walmart.com: McCulloch Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner, MC1275: Appliances i guess you get what you pay for
Ya, you do, but everyone's got a budget too. Yes buddy...only with steam. I did it on the medium setting.
