So much for a recession. I have been so freaking busy at work that I have not had time to do anything! I almost brought my car to a detail shop the other day! I stopped and made time to clean the car. I can't wait for warm weather. I hate the winter months.
I will repeat a line I used in another thread to all those who brag about their warm weather in the winter...my middle finger is saying "hello".
I was talking with some other detailers about how busy I was before and after Halloween, and then the weekend before Thanksgiving it slowed to a dead HAULT. Then about a week ago I got 4 calls in one day, two the next. So I'm booked all the way 'till the first except for two days :thumb:
I don't really mimd the winter months until recently. It's been bloody drizzling all week and I've been trying to get final photos of my car for my write up.
Richy, that only makes us want to rub it in even more. There's nothing like taking a dip in the pool or checking out the beautiful girls on the beach around Christmas.
That's OK Gary. For one, it makes you appreciate it all the more. Today we had recieved about an inch overnight and my 2 girls (6 and 3) woke up ecstatic over it so we went out and played. We decorated a pine tree outside, did snowballs, snow angels and I pulled them around on a sled until my knee gave out. They loved it. It's a magical time of year for the kids and I think the snow helps. Having said that, on about December 26 I am glad to see it go.
When I was young I use to love the snow and winter sports. The older I got the more I didn't like it anymore. I use to hate to have to drive from Grosse Ile to downtown Detroit every day to go to work when the weather was bad. When we had a lot of snow it seemed like by the time I got home and shoveled the snow so I could pull my car in the garage it was time to go to bed. I don't miss that at all. Like you I liked having snow at Chrstmas but after that I didn't want to see it again. Christmas is a magical time when you have little kids that still believe in Santa.
