Please close thread. I've decided I'm going to try to sell these items locally because of the high shipping costs I'm encountering, I don't remember USPS charging so much for shipping things, then again it's been awhile since I have shipped any packages out. Thanks.
They're amazing, I was blown away by them, I've never seen a towel like it. I kept one for myself (I ordered a 4 pack initially). I tried one out today when I waxed my car and wow, I was really impressed. They're super thick, plush, and fluffy.
Just curious... I've had a lot of people PM me with "what's your PP address I'll take this right now" and I'll reply back but I never get anyone sending any payments, or PM's back, and my PM box says I have 0 "sent" messages although I've replied to everything. If you guys don't get a response back please email me at robertkiesler@gmail.com
DB community ... I sent a payment for some products and he (Eggo) agreed on shipping them today. I got a PM a few minutes later stating that he (Eggo) sold one of the items to a person on craigslist. Seller did refund my money, but beware of his selling practices. If anyone has additional questions, PM for details. G
As a response, I did initially sell to GDAL, only to get a phone call from someone locally off craigslist that wanted to come by and pick it up locally for the full price I have listed here on DB. I did refund his money, apologized numerous times, and even offered to re-sell the item back to him and call the guy from CL and tell him not to bother coming, and even take some money off the price that me an GDAL worked out. I offered to re-sell back to GDAL because that's something I would normally never due, but since there was a guy that called me locally offering full price I thought I'd save on shipping costs selling to GDAL. Like I mentioned, I apologized, offered to totally work something out with him after since I felt bad because he did initially have the first sale on the item and he refused, which is totally understandable. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me. Thanks.
Getting undersold in forum purchases is VERY common.. I honestly have lost count on the amount of times I have had a sellers commitment and then had it sold from under me. I guess it never matters as much because its over the computer and a forum.. Sellers need to stick to their word IMO.
Yes, that's really annoying but there's really not much you can do about and it's really not worth the trouble. However, it would be nice if people actually followed their word/morals and actually cared about the folks on the forums rather than some random individual on CL or similar.
Right, I realized it wasn't cool, apologized, and offered to work something out with him if he was still interested, no harm no foul.
That's fine, you realized your fault and you openly admitted it and was willing to work something out with him. :applause:
I do not know the prices but if you have smaller items the USPS Flat rate boxes are a good rate. You can ship something across the country for $10. It seems like Fed Ex has decent package prices where distance/weight is calculated.
^ Thanks for the advice, I should probably check Fed Ex, but from my experience they were higher than USPS, I guess it varies. The flat rate boxes aren't bad, my problem was I'm selling so many small items, that if someone wants one (like earlier, I sold the Citrus Wash) it cost $8.10 to ship.. and I sold the item for $7.50 lol. So I totally lost money. However I still shipped the item out, but decided to pull the rest of my sales on here for the time being and work on possibly setting up a package deal only and trying to sell them locally.
The smallest flat rate box is $4.95 anywhere in the US. i have seen people stuff these so they are no longer rectangular.
