how long have you been in detailing

I disagree, Ken. You told me something on the phone one time that made a ton of sense "You won't become a millionaire detailing full time, but you WILL live comfortably." On top of that, you run a successful DBA (LLC, Corp, whateva' ) which is more than 80% of entrepreneurs can say for themselves.

I've been detailing for a little over 15 years now. I started out detailing at the age of 15 before I could even drive a car. I detailed for family and friends and it just kept getting bigger and bigger. I detailed as a side job for around 12 years and now I've been detailing full-time for a little over 3 years now.

 

damn guys. makes me want to get into it full time for now ill see what can work out with other jobs and do this on side. then when my friend opens the shop, then maybe ill do it full time

I've been doing it as a hobby for over 30 years and as a sideline for 3 years.

 

And I thought Richy was the only guy here older than me! 26 years? How old are you?

 

I met Dana when I was in DC this summer. He's close to our age but not quite.

 

I have been detailing since I was 19(27 now turning 28 soon). I started out as a car jockey/detailer for a high end indie dealership for the summer and fell in love ever since.

Those days I would get the job done with mainly Auto Magic products(bc-1, bc2), Presta polishes, Edge pads, and Worlds Best Wax.

Here is a pic of me with the first Ferrari I got to detail, a 348ts with the back end retro fitted with the 355 circular lights.

 

rotary polishing for 8+ now, cleaning for money for 10+ years.

 

I have been detailing since I got my first car when I was 16 years old. It has always been a passion for me. 29 years later I am still at it and loving it.

detailing w/ paintcorrection- 3 years

 

I've never detailed. Signed up to learn, been reading up before I start buying supplies/tools.

 

3.5 years. I only detail our two cars.

 

Been cleaning my own car for a couple of years but actually got serious like a few months ago after the detailers domain meet last year. Been on and off due to work.

 

I have been detailing for almost three weeks, but I am learning fast with your help and a the help of a good friend. I plan to detail a full collection of antique cars I work with. will show you my work but I need to learn to take good pictures.
