hey everyone, my current dilemma amongst many is getting replacement bulbs for my hids. Since my car was hit and insurance is paying i decided to get quality HID bulbs. I just cant seem to find the right place to order them from. I liked the Xentec HID bulbs my kit came with, but disliked the ones i got from VVME since they had a weird green tint to them. Anyone have a good site?
DDM Tunning has some good bulbs, also Xenon Depot has some re based Phillips bulbs that have worked well for friends, there house brand is not bad as well. If you are talking about real HID bulbs, not a kit, then I would go with Phillips Color Match HID bulbs.
You could check out some HID forums like HIDplanet for more info... I just went with a cheap eBay kit to suffice for now with my projectors on my Integra.
ive seen DDM recommended on an audi forum. This ones the best looking so far. I might give them a try. thanks. im still open to other suggestions, I'll be placing my order tonight!
XenonDepot/kbcarstuff gets really good reviews and is a vender the clublexus forum i frequent. Use the discount code "CL" to get $25 off.
O-Nex bulbs were what I had in my truck back when i was running PnP kits. They were known as Halo before but had to change the name due to some copyright infringement. They never gave me no problems for the time I had them in. Though I still run those HID's in my fogs! Though now I did a full HID retro on my truck i only run the Phillips D2S bulbs. Off the top of my head, several online vendors where I sourced my parts from are: TRS (The Retrofit Source) HIDparts -Ebay Seller HIDIllusionz -My retrofitter These places have one of the best prices to me, and that included shipping to Hawai'i:thumb: So if it was a deal for me, then i'm sure you'll have some sort of savings too! TRS has a store on ebay too that allows best offer too! Hope this helps -Kaleo
MTEC are decent ones .... the ballast have really small bodies. That were on my mod "wish list" before I caught the detailing bug. I went the cheap way with HIR bulbs and they are vast improvement over stock.
Xenon light Hid kit Hid light Hid headlights Bulbs Ballasts Car parts They are very cheap and have very fast shipping. Me and a lot of my friends have been using them for years with no problems. Higly recommended.
I got mine from these guys. Cant complain. They work great. Hi and low beam. Easy install too. custom HID conversions, HID kits, LED, CCFL specialists - retrosolutions
+1 on DDM. got them last winter and they work fine. got them for $63 whole kit when they had sale on xmas im curently selling most of my hid stuff to pay for detailing stuff lol but i only have OEM ballasts from infinity, they would work if you got rebased philips bulbs HIR are not bad but they are 3600k so they are not as white. little yellower then oem once and they cost like $65 for pair i think what kinda bulbs does you car take?
projectors are way to go, there is just no comparison between hids in reflectors and in projector. i was into this stuff before got into detailing still planning to retro my headlights so im keeping LS430, TL and RL projectors for myself
mine are 9006 and 6000k. I ordered from DDM I kept reading good things about them so i figured why not.
good prices, great customer service and life time warrenty SharpHID.com - Automotive HID Xenon Conversion Lighting Products
Retrofitting is the way to go. I would think that all of the recommended kits would suffice. Everything that I've read about using OEM kits makes one think that those would be of interest to look at. Best of luck with your selection.
