Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this forum yesterday and really glad that I did. I'm looking at a 6 year old BMW right now with beige leather interior. The exterior looks great and mechanically everything checks out but the interior has been really neglected somehow. No rips, tears, wear or major stains but the leather and beige carpet both look to be just plain dirty with dirty, dust, sweat on leather I'm guessing.

Anyways, I'd consider myself a pretty good detailer on my other cars but I've never had anything that I've had to deal with in a dirty condition like this . Just wondering if I should pass on a car where everything checks out other than the general interior cleanliness or with the right gear, chemicals and a bit of elbow grease should I be able to get this stuff back to new? Pics are below.

    Thanks

That cars looks like a cakewalk, I have beige leather is my truck and does require some additional attention to keep it looking good. Get your self a good leather cleaner such as Worlds Best Wax Leather Cleanse or Lexol Leather cleaner. You can even step it up to the Leather Masters stuff from Detailers Domain, its great as well. A decent APC diluted properly can clean up the dirty clean carpets and door pads. that's a decent start along with a good vacuum.

That interior is really clean considering the age. I tackled a 10-year old Audi light-grey leather interior with diluted woolite and mr. clean's magic eraser with relative ease. I was extremely careful with the magic eraser as it is an abrasive. It turned out awesome and it still looks great.

Most people here are not fans of the method mentioned above, but all I had for the job were OTC products.

If I was you, I would buy some leather masters stuff from detailer's domain.

Welcome to the forum!!! It's a great place to learn everything you need to know about detailing.

Kids play... Get some Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner+ and a Swissvax Leather brush from Detailers Domain and you're set on the leather.

For the carpets, go to Home Depot and get Zep High Traffic Carpet cleaner, dry brush, vac, mist carpet, agitage, spray with water and wipe down again

I haven't used the Swissvax, although I've held it. The ADS leather brush is much bigger.

I just bought the ADS brush, and I pretty much hate it. It didn't clean as well, and the hairs kept coming out, spent more time cleaning the hairs then the leather

Yeah it's not as stiff. The hairs stop coming out after a few uses, or at least it did for me. I feel if you oversaturate or apply too much pressure it it gets too soft.

Great, thanks guys glad to hear. I guess it may not be all that bad, I just don't understand how people let their nice cars that they wash outside like this on the inside.

Does anybody have a Canadian alternative to Detailers Domain that carry Swissvax? I've got a couple Canadian places where I get all my CG, Poorboys, P21S, Menzerna, etc but I can't find any Swissvax acessories in Canada so far.

Thanks again for the help and advice.
