The obligatory RBOE photo, on my own S2000. In person, the flake pops to such great effect that the car looks a bit like a bass boat.

Karl, I think you have played out that picture enough in RBOE threads, time to take a new pic ;)

Once you apply it a few times it will not seem like a task anymore...just get some getting use to.

Perhaps, but full disclosure, that's the best one I've got up close, with lighting that shows what I like best about RBOE. How's about a beading shot instead? My hand is placed intentionally, because this photo was taken by request. Someone here on DB wanted to see beading shots, so I put my hand there to give viewers a sense of scale.

how is the durability of RBOE? Also how does it compare to the juiced version?

Well it's made by me on my Kitchen table, this takes special boutique waxes to another level surely. :)

I'd actually forgotten I still had that pdf still on the site, it does indeed makes the process sound far more complicated than it is. Cooter's link or this one are better.

I think you're spot on there, some people get it, some people don't, some people like it, some people don't. And seeing as I sent more jars to the US this time last year than this, I don't think it's really flavour of the month either, I think it's just different people have discovered it and are talking about it.

    The key tips are:
You need to get some friction going to start with, to get the applicator primed.
Keep it thin, thin as possible.
Don't rush it, take it slow.
It doesn't really haze over just give it 20 to 30 minutes to sit on the paint.

Does rboe rbje need a pre wax cleaner?

As with any wax really, they'll both want to sit on clean paint and neither are all in ones, so I would advise you to do so for best results, unless you have freshly polished paint.

Why don't you stop by sometime and I'll show you how to apply it properly. Then you will enjoy it. Like RBOE, its not a modern wowo type sealant, but when you learn to apply it properly, it does go on and off quite easily.

15min. dont you supposed to let it cure overnight at least? i know blackfire and collonite you supposed to let it cure for 24 hours
we had problem with wiping BF after like and hour and it was hazing after that

You don't have to let it cure overnight. And I had stated earlier that the cause for smearing was probably because I had only let the RBOE set for 15 minutes.

Doesn't mean it will always do this. It was just IME....

Not to hijack your thread, but I just recently purchased RBOE and I was thinking about other options.

I actually warmed a spoon on the stove and placed the bottom of the spoon on top of the wax itself. The wax immediately became soft. I'm gonna try this soon on a scrap panel. My only concern is that if the spoon is really hot, it might melt too much wax causing the application to be extremely thick.

I can't say I've ever needed to get it that hot. If the friction from the applicator isn't enough my fingers usually are. Are you guys working in freezing temperatures or something?
