Pondering trying out some different MFs

My first forum-find when I initially starting investigating the world of auto detailing was AutoGeek and I picked up these Cobra MFs:
- Indigos
- Supreme 530
- Guzzler HD

These seem like good quality towels but I'm thinking that they're overpriced and that equal or better quality MFs can be had elsewhere for less dough. There's also this indoctrination feeling I get over there that I don't like to feel locked-in by.

What I'm looking for specifically are some good plush MFs for QDing safely.

Not sure why, but I've had this driven curiosity mostly for CG products, so these are some I'm considering:
Shaggy Fur-Ball


Sasquatch Maximus


Monster Microfiber


...and I'm also considering some Cobra Shamrocks because they're on BOGO right now.

So let me hear everyone's MF opinions and preferences for QD use specifically.

Monster MF are great, also do not link and have a nice nap to them. Shamrocks lint a bit and I did not like that. Cobra ultimate that are on bogo as well are great and I ordered some more of them.

 

The sasquatch is fluffy as hell. Both I have seem to lint a bit. I'm going to try boiling them to see if it solves the problem.

I just got some fur-balls in this week and haven't used them yet. I'm sure they will be mostly used for ONR and QDing.

I inquired with Meghan about that Shamrock linting issue and she said that they addressed it with this latest batch.

What can I do to temp you to QD with one of your new Fur-Balls today, followed by a washer/dryer session, and report?

 

It's dark by the time I get off work And my car is way too filthy for just a QD. I can report Friday morning!

 

I have one of the new one and they do lint alot less than the old version but are still prone due to the thickness. Deff a nice QD towel, but like the nap on the Cobra Miricle little better does not "grab" as much. I would post pics but i dont have those with me currently. Dont really see a wrong choice in ones you looking at.

 

That's what I'm thinking, but since it's like a graveyard here at work right now I figured I'd do some hair-splitting

I ONRed ni the dark with a Furball last night. Worked really well! Nice and soft and fluffy. Didn't seem to lint at all, but it was dark! Woo.
